I was being sarcastic. The rankings are stupid. People wrote us off when we lost to temple, not being written back in this year with no more big games.
Navy only has 2 losses and one of those is against a dominant air force team. Plus their strength of schedule is much tougher than ours.
Virginia tech also deserves to be ranked. They lost to a very good Syracuse team that would pound us.
miami was fun but that bowl needs a better opponent. The Birmingham bowl was craptastic as the town in not very nice and the stadium is really crappy, but I would still prefer that.
In the Big East, St.Pete and Birmingham were our two worst bowl games and now they are our best. Birmingham will likely be our conference champion against a 6-6 or 7-5 SEC team that is barely bowl eligible. St. Pete will be our 2nd in conference vs. a 6-6 or 7-5 ACC team that is bowl eligible. If USF doesn't make the conference championship game I could see St. Pete taking us and putting the conference championship loser in Annapolis due to proximity.
Both ESPN writers have the Bulls in St. Pete vs. Boston College. This could be a big game for us. They got their first ACC win in the last two years this past week over NC State and gave Cuse a good game. They would have to beat Wake and UCONN to get bowl eligible however and I don't think they are better than those two teams.
Not entirely surprised. Our depth chart at rb is daunting. We still have elijah Mack, sands, and the other rb recruit bell is a speed demon on top of Mack and d Johnson. Going to be hard to play early at that position.
He feels the same way that many Bulls fans feel. We are in a crap conference that we should easily dominate...we are not. Nothing to see here, move on and hope the Bolts have a good year. Sad that we are in this position but we are.
