We will always have St. Pete. A 12-1 season and a trip to St. Pete to play Cuse again would be a great ending to our best season ever!

Just please not Cuse again...I' m sick of beating them down and having to look at those disgustingly ugly jerseys.

We could very easily go 12-1,win the American and play a 6 or 7 win Cuse again in St. Pete. ESPN has Houston in the miami beach bowl against central michigan...yikes.

UCF is having better attendance than us and they are coming off of a donut season...they have an OCS.

Everyone is jumping on the fan bashing, why isn't attendance better band wagon. To understand why it isn't better, you have to do a little research into our past and understand something about college football. Rivalries, trash talking, and high stakes draw people to the college game. People in my home state of South Carolina whether they are Carolina or Clemson fans can't stand losing because all week at work they have to hear it from the other side and from family and friends. This puts an emphasis on every game that was born out of the intense rivalry. This fires people up and they become much more intense in their fandom. When I was a student, we had teams like WVU and Rutgers in our conference. When WVU would come to town, their fans would drive through campus with their car flags waving, the fight song blaring, and shouting insults out the window at students in the dorm area. You better believe this fired us up. We wanted to beat those dirty b!@#$!#@ and the students came out in record numbers. Rutgers stomped on our logo and destroyed our locker room...along with rude fans and a despised coach, the fans got fired up. We also hated losing because UCF would talk trash all over the internet and on our boards. We don't have that anymore. I have not heard of any UCONN fans driving through campus stirring students up. I have not met any smu fans, and apart from once a year, the UCF and USF heat seems to have died down. Our fans seem to have lost that fire that makes college gameday so successful because the stakes are much lower now. Gators and Noles fans won't care if we win the AAC or not. That's why the FSU game was our season to most fans. While a ranking will definitely help with attendance (higher stakes), we will not get the fans back until it becomes personal again....that is just how our fan base works.

I have definitely gotten a better college atmosphere from my local d2 team the citadel recently. Fans show up and cheer the whole time and it's crazy fun. The usf atmosphere is really bad. It's a catch 22. You need atmosphere and tradition to bring fans and you need fans to bring atmosphere and tradition.

That run defense is atrocious and I think it is due to the 4-2-5 and the lack of line penetration.

We lost the ONLY game that mattered to most people in the bay area. Season was over and USF was once again resigned to afterthought status after that. The people on this board and a few die hards are the only ones that care about an AAC championship.

No second chance? C'mon...big programs take players like this all the time. Didn't anyone watch second chance U? Didn't Franklin beat up a female student or something? He is now at Auburn.

I'm with you. We play a decent team in FSU and get dismantled. We haven't had too many games come down to the wire or even the 4th quarter in a loooong time.Fans have definitely been able to leave after the third quarter in most of our games the last year and a half. I think that is a testament to our offense and speed being too much for other American teams to handle.

That's why they are not on a P5 team...need to have them play woth juice to make up for the things they lack.

With this year's team, I feel like we lost the game everytime we punt.

The D line gets pushed off the ball easy...the linebackers can't set an edge so our outside is vulnerable and the DB's play soft...so you can hurt us no matter what kind of offense you run.

How do you go from the defense last year to the onethis year? Did we graduate everybody?

FSU is really bad this year...USF is just untested but we are also likely really bad. No QB and terrible defense.

With a weak d line, our lbs are exposed. Not much production from our ends.

this thread is a big reason why I hate tour fan base...always complaining about why they can't attend the football games. The fans are the 12th man and make a difference on the product on the field. If Taggart came out and said that they couldn't play well or had to forfeit because it was too hot out, we would be hopping mad! Taggart doesn't allow the players to make any excuses and we shouldn't allow fans to make excuses for not showing up. Put on the big kid panties and show up and be loud!

Yep, I think our ceiling is 30k-35k a game in this conference. Ucf will draw more but outside that...

Look at how Miami and fsu got to be big time. They were nobodies until they started an anybody anytime scheduling routine. They went on the road and played the best teams in the nation. They won some of those games and the fan base, recruits, and the nation took notice. The rest is history. Beating creampuffs is going to net us the same 30k butts In the seats and a ho hum reputation nationally. Gotta prove you deserve to be noticed.
