    That was Lamar Robbins that got beat...dude has been underachieving for awhile. Big time recruit out of H.S., but hasn't done too much for us.

    They also said that they would like to meet with Big 12 officials in the future...meaning they haven't yet.

    I'm starting to think it might be best if Big 12 took BYU and Colorado St. and left our conference alone. AAC has potential if it doesn't get raided.

    Syracuse is a P5 program...no non-P5 school could be predicted to win against a P5 school.

    You have to balance the short term cash influx with the inevitable lower TV revenue, worse bowl games, lower ticket/merchandise sales, and lowered donations of being in a picked apart league. I guess it is better than nothing...

    Judson and the three that committed yesterday are Orlando area guys...and based on Judson's tweets, he has selected a dozen more guys that want to come to USF...problem is I don't know how many more schollies we have left.

    It appears that we are going to try him at QB...a little short at 5'10", but has Q Flowers type running ability (probably even better). His throwing mechanics are similar to Q when he entered and needs some polish. Overall, this looks like the kind of athlete the coaches like at QB, and probably a big reason he is leaning towards us. Most other schools see him in the slot or RB.

    I agree with you, but it's hard to get excited over the Tulsas of the world for the average fan...how many Tulsa fans do you run into on a daily basis to make that game interesting?

    BYU is the deciding factor here I believe and they are willing to do football only http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/17127391/byu-notifies-big-12-interest-joining-conference-open-discussing-football-only-option. If they go Big 12 UCF and USF is likely left out. They will then probably go Houston, BYU, Cincy, and either Boise (football only) or add anther P5 team interested in jumping ship.This will leave our league depleted and likely lower our bowl game options and league negotiating power. I will cringe if our best bowl is in St. Pete going forward...

    The commentators and pundits were treating our win against Syracuse as an upset because they were a P5 team. We've been beating up on cuse for years.

    The recruiting site people only get to look at a handful of kids. They see the ones at the big high schools and the ones that attend the big time camps. Many great players are at smaller schools and don't go to all the camps. I'm more comfortable snagging kids we've seen play in person than those we just have highlight tape of.

    I think Big 12 goes to 12 teams with Houston and Cincy. American will pick up probably either Marshall, NIU, Charlotte, UMass, or Southern Miss.

    Just think it's a bad sign that popular opinion outside of Tampa is so negative.

    They were talking about the USF scandal on Charleston, S.C. local sports talk radio today. Talked about how Antigua was a Calipari assistant and how we were stupid for hiring somebody from his camp because of how crooked he is. Also basically said that this cemented our fate at getting left behind in this round of expansion. Nice to hear an outside opinion on the matter.
