  1. Interesting to me that DJ got more carries. Continues to keep Mack fresh. Mack can do some incredible things but it seems like DJ strikes a little more fear into opposing defenses with his tenacious running style.
  2. I remember it being terrible under Bres but surely it wasn't this bad.
  3. It reminds me of people knocking BJ and, believe it or not, screaming for Floyd. Madness. Take away QF and see how many wins we have.
  4. Get outta here with that. Grothe had a BIG TIME defense behind him that kept us in close with the big boys.
  5. Agreed, nice guy but HAS to go. I mean, losing Lee and Byrd cannot have impacted the D this much. So many times I saw the LBs take poor angles. That is down to practicing right and clearly Woodie is not getting the x's and o's right.
  6. THIS! Exactly, thats a tremendous amount of pressure.
  7. LOL whooooops. My bad. Somebody retweeted it and I was fished.
  8. Some old dudes in a room in Dallas are potentially deciding our future right now. I feel so judged. Are we pretty enough?
  9. I know that this doesn't jive with the thread. But THIS. Haunted years later.
  10. I was referencing the spread of -3 for Navy that I commented on a prior post.
  11. 7.1 ypc this year. He hasn't had many touches which could really help during the second half of the season.
  12. Too good to be true. Navy ECU game moved: http://wnct.com/2016/10/10/ecu-navy-game-rescheduled-for-november-19th/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  13. Yeah, fair point. I was thinking more along the lines of ECU. Was not impressed at all by them on either side. I can see Navy tearing them open.
  14. Ha this thread is a bit of a trainwreck. Seriously though, can't believe that Navy line.
  15. Should have had 4 passing TDs. Great player, also seems to have a running backs instincts when taking off from the pocket. His interceptions are usually punts too I've noticed, usually only happening on the long ball.
  16. Yeah but they don't have possibly our best RB in Flowers. And, c'mon.
  17. Aaaand UNC with a safety. The difference - UNC stacking the box, daring Francois to beat them, and he can't. We had such a BAD game plan on defense.
  18. we would win in the past. Ranked team coming into Tampa early in the season, USF being undefeated. I honestly felt this would be our return to national notoriety. I think we have been spoiled as a fan base, with so many upsets of ranked teams in the past. We would relish the spotlight and play the part of scrappy underdog to perfection, more often then not pulling an upset. As with a lot of fans, not upset we lost, just the WAY we did. We did not look ready to compete with the big boys and almost played right into their hands. It was great to see RJS packed again, even if it wasn't partisan. I do worry about how yesterday's result impacts future attendance this season. We are in the unfortunate situation of having to not only battle our gameday opponent, but having to lobby the fans to come out to see it every week. Maybe I'm wrong and we draw 40+ the rest of the way (would be ecstatic with that), however the Tampa fanbase is fairweather and I can just see the excuses flying in. Gotta get a few other points off my chest: - why were we rushing 4 lineman with no help for the majority of the game? Surely with what Cook did to us last year, we sell out to stop him and make the redshirt frosh beat us. By the time we adjusted, late 4th, the game was well out of reach. Hated seeing a future NFL star get so much SPACE. - If Cook is a USF killer, D'Ernest Johnson must give FSU nightmares. Is that 5 TDs in 2 games against them? As much as Cook has against us. Love the way he plays, really lucky to have him. - Offensively, we seemed to run out of ideas early on. Even the commentators said it, we looked vanilla. I think we should have pressed them more with the option, getting the ball on QFs hands more often. The offense also has a nasty habit of going 3 and out consecutively on multipe drives, happened early in the Syracuse game as well. - Was not going to post this but have to be honest: I didn't like QFs body language after our drives started stalling. I'm a huge fan of his because of his competitiveness, however didn't see that out of him early on so much. After that screen pass he one hopped to Adams during the start of the 4th drive, he seemed to lose that juice.
  19. I can understand wanting QF to improve on his intermediate passing, but any serious suggestions that he should be benched at any point is ludicrous. He may not be as talented a passer as our other QBs, but he is a GAMER. He is a great spread option QB, and intelligent when deciding to tuck the ball and run. Reminds me of the fans booing Daniels and begging for Eveld...
  20. The pass to Rodney Adams in double coverage was an absolute peach. Agree he missed some mid-range passes, however he holds on to the ball for the most part, an issue we've had with prior QBs.
