  1. Incredible. This is shaping up to be a crazy back-9.... echoes of '07?
  2. 42000. Finally the message had gotten through to Tampa and also driven by ticket packages, social media push, and word of mouf by you fine people.
  3. Seems like there has been a lot of effort from the university, social media, and word of mouth to hype this game. I think we see biggest crowd of year on Saturday. Go Bulls!
  4. Red alternate unis? I kid. But seriously, it's ridiculous that Temple have the inverse of our problem.
  5. Great idea to promote at Bucs game Thursday. Set up a marquee, roll out the flags and banners, sell some tickets. If I wasn't 5000 miles away I'd be right alongside OP and pimping out the Bulls in the parking lots.
  6. Agreed, a quick glance at the teams above / below us. Teams above are overwhelming favorites and should win. Teams below however have some tough games. If an upset occurs, we could see a slide.
  7. There was one play where Sirk was literally tackled half on the ground and completed a perfect pass to the sidelines for a first down, I knew then at some point his luck would run out. Also his first TD was a PERFECT pass, nothing we could do about that. I thought they had a lot of luck and missed calls. Their final touchdown was 100% delay of game, shocking miss by refs. Also a couple of holds not called on their second TD. Most impressive thing yesterday was the halftime adjustment on defense, something we were incapable of doing last year.
  8. My birthday, 10 years ago today. Loudest I've ever witnessed any crowd. Peak when Moffitt pick sixed White, absolutely deafening. One of the best days of my life.
  9. To me it's shortsighted not to root for UCF to win every game until we crush them. HAVE to beat the best version of every team on our schedule to get the most recognition and highest possible ranking.
  10. Some people called for Eveld over Daniels.. never forget. Q is going through a rough patch no doubt but he is still the most dynamic athlete on the field every game. He flicked 4 TDs last week, he will be back.
  11. Noticeable offensive changes from last year so far: Slowed it down, checking at the line. We were getting plays in sooo much quicker last year. No more option plays. Those were absolute killers last year for opposing defenses. Greatly reduced sweep plays. Some of our biggest plays last year (Adams at Memphis) were from this. Basically we've taken misdirection out and slowed down. 2 key components of last years offensive success. Perhaps also we are missing speed of Mack and Adams. However I think we have manageable replacements in Sands and Antoine. I saw Antoine a couple of times last night (looked good), however where is Sands?? The guy was tearing it up preseason.
  12. I don't post here much but have been a lurker here since 2005. Really appreciate the board and it's members. We are also approaching the 10 year anniversary of my birthday on September 28th, oh and also the greatest game in USF history. A lot of memories!
  13. Agreed. Been around for the Grothe and BJ eras and have to say that QF has taken it to another level. He's the ultimate competitor and we are truly fortunate to have him
  14. European football is a 90 min game, that's usually over in an hour and 3/4s real time. American football is a 60 min game that sometimes hits 4 hours real time. Ridiculous. The greed in the NCAA and NFL is insatiable. I remember watching the NFL in the nineties and don't remember that many games hitting 3 hours. Advertising is out of control these days. Even in-game, the viewer is being bombarded with sponsors of different segments, graphics etc. Love the sport but so difficult to watch on TV these days unless you have a stake in the game.
  15. Carried us out of the muck. Before QF, before Adams, there was Mack. I remember Shaw the year before, thinking he was pretty decent. Then I saw Mack vs WCU and knew we had a guy who was on another level. Thanks Mack and melt some faces in the NFL.
  16. Louisville, WVU are top 10. Pitt with an almighty upset of Clemson last night. Even Cuse with an upset of VA Tech a few weeks ago. Old Big East doesn't look so bad now does it. Makes me think where USF would be if we were selected a few years ago with Taggart at the helm... Then again, there's Buttgers wrecking my argument.. Which I'll happily take. They lost by a combined 185-0 to Michigan and Ohio teams.. L O L.
  17. Glad you noticed this too. Seems like there is so much trickery with that offense that even the refs miss things.
  18. - anyone notice on a few of Navy's plays that their backs moved before the ball was snapped? Happened a few times late in the game, don't know how the refs missed it. - on offense, we are getting the snaps off so fast that the defense isn't getting their substitutions off the field in time. Again happened multiple times Friday and in a few prior games, amazed no laundry.
  19. No shot. Rutgers always holds a special place in the hearts of Bulls fans.
