  1. I understand that there is an Alumni gathering at Krewe DeGras on Monroe at 6:00. Free Appitizers ,cash bar.
  2. I used to run the Lakeland/Polk watch parties. Support waned and since I went to 2-3 away games, couldn't find anyone to run them in my absence . Did hold one last year at Two Henrys/Keel&Curry for final away game. Msinly my TBR tailgate group, hut a few others stopped by. Glad to see sone interest again . Stay in touch.
  3. if O-line play is like last year we will have the same record as last year +100
  4. I just talked with the ticket office and they expect to mail out the ticket and parking passes on 8/11.
  5. The only thing missing now are gold pants with green and gold striprs down the side. Why have we not had the gold pants?
  6. Exploitation??? They get a premium education (if they want), tutors, computer, room, board, chance at Pro job. Many would not get this level of education or any at all without the scholarship. Doesn't sound like exploitation! Back to the topic, PUT THE PLAYERS' NAMES BACK ON THE BACK OF THE JERSEYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Ray Jay and Miami? Are you serious. No way either could be ranked ahead of even UCF, and it pains me to say that. WHAT?? That UCF erector set tin can should be torn down immediately!
  8. We were on the 12:30 Southwest direct to Milwaukee. We were 30 minutes late getting in. We were 1 of only 2 arriving flights not cancelled. Just lucky I guess, In Madison looking for some Bulls to party with in Downtown?
  9. Come on Polk county and Lakeland. Let's pack the house and show then that USF can eventually own the area. Yes I know its an uphill battle with the Gators dominating the local talk, but at least FSU is doing themselves in and the area is way too good for the "little u".
  10. Me too. Called first thing Monday morning to try to get squeezed in NO MAS! Does anyone have 1 or 2 extra tickets to this. (I didn't reserve early because 1-Didn't know it was limited, 2- Making sure how many I needed)
  11. Then one could argue that the number of points available was 2 -- as in they had a 2 point conversion available, but they chose to kick--they could have just as well have faked the PAT kick and gone for 2. No? If they did a 2 point conversion, turned the ball over and they ran it back to the opposite end zone they only would get 2 points. In the NFL it would be 6. No, it wouldn't. In the NFL, any turnover on either an extra point or a two-point conversion is an immediate dead ball. Only the team that just scored a touchdown can score on the PAT in the NFL. Correct
  12. Then one could argue that the number of points available was 2 -- as in they had a 2 point conversion available, but they chose to kick--they could have just as well have faked the PAT kick and gone for 2. No? Only 1 point was available for the PAT, since the ball was kicked, and then blocked. But had a Oregon player picked it up in the backfield and ran it in, it would have been 2 points. Yes, but the key word you mention and some may miss is the blocked kick must be recovered by the kicking team in their backfield in order to advance into the end zone for 2 points. If recovered past the line of scrimmage it is a dead ball. This happened in a game just a week or so ago, sorry don't remember which, slept since then.
  13. Just for information here is the NCAA rule on this. RULE 8, SECTION 5, ARTICLE 1. It is a safety when: a. The ball becomes dead out of bounds behind a goal line, except from an incomplete forward pass, or becomes dead in the possession of a player on, above or behind his own goal line, or becomes dead by rule, and the defending team is responsible for the ball being there (A.R. 6-3-1-IV; A.R. 7-2-4-I; A.R. 8-5-1-I-II, IV and VI-VIII; A.R. 8-7-2-II; and A.R. 9-4-1-VIII). The provision that applies is that the defending team was responsible for the ball being downed in the end zone.
  14. It has CWT and the partial staff now. Because of these posts and from emails to the staff at USF by me and several others.
  15. It is pathetic that we are here in FL with all the running backs selected by all the schools across the country and we can't sign a killer RB. I hope that is what CWT connections will bring us.
  16. ?????? His constant throwing it up for grabs into 3 defenders??? His rainbow passes??? His interceptions in our end of the field with seconds left in the half??? He is an excellent athlete, just needed a coach that could recognize it and play him at wildcat, WR, & h-back where he belonged not QB.
  17. Thanks for keeping this going. Great job. Looking forward to it already.
  18. Saw him look off 1st and 2nd receiver already last night. Something BJ didn't do his entire career.
