    What is impressing is to see how each year WKU got better the first year with CWT they lost 63-28, the next year lost 14 to 3... I think this was a solid hire.

    Its hard to get worse so thats a plus. With the right coaching and a few key players I think CWT can get the team back to pre holtz in a year or two..after that the sky is the limit. Really excited about USF football again after two bad years.

    His team shutout Navy thats impressive...last team to do that was back in 2006 by Rutgers.

    Sounds like a good coach I would be ok with him.

    Only negative I have on him really is those last two years at Ole Miss before that I would be alot more excited about him as a HC here.

    I say go for Taggart. Since we can get him a little cheaper the extra money could be used for a really good DC or OC. My only concern is his lack of hc experience but if you can turn around the worst 1a school then you can't be that bad.

    Could be a good hire sort of reminds me of Raheem Morris...he just needs to make sure he has good quality OC and DC around him and I would be fine with this hire.

    No way as a HC but he would be ok to have on the staff if just for his recruiting abilities alone.

    Rather have a young fired up type of guy that wants to prove something than a older coach looking for a paycheck... would be a bad hire.

    I liked the guy as an ambassador for USF but sadly things just didn't work out. Hope him the best.

    Smartest post all day. The assistant coach issue is really killing us, we are full of inept coaches who share the same weaknesses as Holtz. Did Holtz manage games this poorly 2 years ago? I don't believe so. He looks lost and confused on the sidelines, I think a lot of that has to do with poor distribution of duties and the inability of certain staff members to do their jobs. Don't hire your friends if you can't fire your friends, coach. I see one person understands what I was saying. But totally wrong on Heath comparison

    Did we trade away the whole defense for another teams defense... this team will not go bowling. Will be lucky if we win two more games rest of the year. I would love to see Holtz get things turned around but as long as we have Cosh that won't happen.

    Gruden has to have a old smart qb to run his system and thats why it would fail in college I don't see him leaving MNFL.

    Even people I know that were not for firing skip are starting to grumble he needs to be fired... I just don't see USF keeping holtz at the end of the season.
