I agree this will be a much closer game than alot of people expect. Everything that could go wrong went bad, it was the perfect storm of ****. First game for CWT. Plays against his former DC. Turnvers near the 5. Bad snap for safety. Int for TD late in first half. Starting a new qb that is sophomore that struggled last year, lots of bad passes that started 3 and outs. The game got out of hand in the 2nd quarter and it was over. Not saying we beat Mich St. but it wouldn't surprise me if we did actually.

It was the perfect storm for USF. Turnover at the 5, pick six, high snap before you know it the game was out of hand in the second quarter. I look forward to the Michigan State game.

Would love to see you go up to Aaron Lynch or Ryne Giddens and call him soft. I didn't say the whole team was soft. I saw a team that got ran over by a freaking 1AA team they don't look so great though.

If Eveld starts I will feel much more comfortable. We need to move the ball and we didn't do much of that with Floyd. Way to many bad passes. GO BULLS

The team is soft like the former coach. Just going to take time to get rid of these players and get in the men CWT wants.

In the world of home remodeling, this is a total gut job....tear it down to the foundation and build it back up. This requires more than a coat of paint and some new carpet and that's all Petrino would do and he would be gone in a couple of years once the big schools feel he has rehabed his image. CWT has been part of this type of rebuilding before, as an assistant at Stanford and as a head coach at WKU, and he will do it here. It's just going to take patience and time. I agree 100% with you. Holtz is the equivalent mold infestation he put this program back 5+ years. USF football will need to be built up from the ground and it will take awhile. CWT has done it before and can do it again. If a year and a half of bad football (actually just one year but I won't quibble) put this program back 5 years, we were in a lots worse shape than most imagined ... I guess we are technically back 3 years. Only reason Holtz had any success the first year is he had good players from the CJL years. As Holtz lost his CJL players his team got worse with time. It will be atleast three years before we are back to winning our usual 8-9 games or more a year. This year is going to be ugly. Buckle up

I really doubt it would matter we still have a mentaly weak team that caves easy. I think same thing would happen for Petrino. CWT built from the trash heaps WKU into the team Petrino has now. Petrino has it much easier than CWT at this time.

McNeese has a winning system. We have a losing system and it will take awhile for CWT to turn things around. Just suck it up this year will blow. McNeese might be better than a few of the teams like memphis and uconn and fau....

UL Monroe beat Alabama in Alabama in 2007 the first year of Saban and that was near the end of the season. Things can only go up from here.

Jim Harbaugh went 4-8 also his first year. Football is mostly a mental game they are soft still from last regime. It will get turned around. I was most disappointed in the defense.

I work up early hard to sleep. Yeah this is rock freaking bottom. But I gotta remember that the starters have still the losing ways of holtz stuck on them and they seemed to cave when things got tough. CWT has to build this team up from the bottom. I have faith in CWT and things will get turned around. Eveld was a bright spot he can be the leader this year and maybe Bench.

Hope you apologized for the harsh words. I heard his post game interview he was very pissed. I like that. Holtz would have been well they played tough but we just gotta execute better.

You are what your record says you are and right now he is 0-1 having not competed against a 1-aa team. Talk about being blue collar and getting on the bus all you want but all you need to know is that you are a joke that is out of their league. I was actually impressed with Eveld he looked good. He had control of the offense. Floyd looked lost I guess he is good in practice but in the game he is not a good qb. Eveld or Bench the rest of the season.

You gotta reach rock bottom to turn things around. This is rock bottom. I know CWT will get things turned around it will just take time. Holtz left this team a complete disaster and it will take time to get things turned around.

CWT was left a **** team and has to turn it around. The players are soft. Only reason holtz had any success at the beginning was he inherited a decent team from CL and you saw each year the team get worse. This team will get better. Freaking WKU team from last year played Bama tough so I know he can turn this program around give the guy time.
