  1. Maryland's offense looks pretty bad today - third string guy seems like he doesn't even know the routes his WR's are running. Can't really judge their defense based on that. Also, if our defense keeps playing with the same intensity I don't think they really get much going on offense. Maryland's defense has bottled them up pretty successfully given that the defense has been on the field for most of the first half.
  2. Would be ideal if Houston ran the table the next few weeks - Feel like a lot of pollsters are still on their jock because of the Tom Herman era and would be quick to put them in the top 25 - see this as a Top 20 match up for us.
  3. Seems like all of the frustration with our fan base surrounds the casual Tampa Bay fan not wanting to attend games. If you look at the student section and the season ticket sections, it looks pretty filled out. Makes me wonder if there will be any animosity from the diehards if the casual fans do end up jumping back on the bandwagon and coming to games. There's a part of me that wouldn't want to welcome them back, to be honest. If you can't support us when we're down then you don't deserve to support us when we're hitting our stride and doing well. I look at sitting through all those crap seasons and getting laughed at for being a Bulls fan as earning your dues. The fans we're trying to get back to the games didn't earn their dues. I know it sounds counter productive but maybe we should be telling those people who jumped ship to f**k off instead of inviting them back. #rant #vamos #toros
  4. Not sure where these statistics are coming from really. Can't imagine a good enough call being made on UCF at this point since they've only played one game... against an FIU team that will probably be in the bottom 10 all year. Also, will be interesting to see how being off for so long effects them. There's a lot of football left to be played and considering that they have to fit 10 games into the next 8 weeks or so with no bye weeks, it will be even longer of a season for them here on out. I would say Tulsa is the sneaky game here. Coming off of the Houston game and maybe looking forward to UCF? Tulsa's offense could turn that game into a track meet if our defense doesn't come to play.
  5. Thundersticks. WERE FU**ING DOPE!!!! Let's gooooooo!
  6. All of the frustration we felt last year at Woodie and the defense has now shifted to Gilbert and the offense. I'd call it a net neutral in terms of difference. Although... you know what they say....Defense wins championships. Kinda crazy how our fan base is concerned after a 43 point outing. I'll definitely get some push back on this one, but I think this year's team could beat last year's at this point in the season. Excited to see how they grow through the season.
  7. Still a lot of football left to play. Would like to see how AAC opponents shake out. I fully believe we'll play at least one, if not two ranked teams from the AAC when it's all said and done. Should help SOS and get all the writers to finally shut up about our cupcake schedule. People giving credit to SDSU that beat an Arizona State team that is probably no better than Illinois and a Stanford team that looks overrated at this point. We'll see though.
  8. Although they may come at the expense of our collective schedules. These weeknight games are the best ways for us to gain national exposure given our G5 status. Just gotta keep playing up to our capabilities.
  9. I think Houston will be a ranked team when we play rhem and if the chips fall the right way, there's a chance we could meet a ranked team if we make the conference championship game. Still a lot of football left though
  10. That's relative to the slants that he throws into the turf... In any case, we have a great QB and I should stop nit picking at this point. But still, considering only 3-5 players get invited to NY for the ceremony, I would say Quinton's chances are realistically slim.
  11. Not really. He still can't throw the deep ball very well and all the big running plays he had last year (which mostly built up his hype) have turned into 6-7 yard runs. Love the guy and I think he's arguably the best QB we've had, but talk of him and the Heisman is a bit silly when you look at what Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield are doing.
  12. Cut the penalties and the crap special teams and I'll be good. Still, yesterday's result was satisfying enough.
  13. Hope everyone stays safe and we will see how things play out, but given the track and the distance between Tampa and Naples, there's a chance that this thing might even be a tropical storm if/when I t comes through here.
  14. Move it to noon Friday, the team is back by Friday night before the storm gets too close
  15. Hope everyone is able to stay safe during the storm. Just wondering though, what do the coaching staff have planned for after the UConn game? Looks like the storm is going to bear down on us sometime Sunday. Can't imagine you would want to fly back down for safety reasons. Would they just stay up in Connecticut? Will be tricky considering a short week leading up to Illinois.
  16. Did we remember to do this last week? Feel like we need as much good ju ju as we can get this week.
  17. Whatever it is - we have to come out fast next game. The more we let inferior opponents hang around deep into games, the more they will believe that they can beat us and the harder they will fight. I think a big component of our success last season was that we could score at will and score early. Feel like that had a big impact on the psyche of the opponents and our players as well. TBH, our team wasn't built to get into defensive slugfests or grind it out type of games -- we also don't have the depth on defense to be successful there.
  18. I guess the silver lining is the health of the team going to conference play. Although you can say they all have been hamstrung on offense with the play calling lol
  19. Like last year may have been a wet dream that our fan base is starting to wake up from???
  20. Run... to the outside... like that's it. Nobody can stop us if we just run outside.
  21. I think Sterlin and Charlie need something me tough love like Willie did.... this **** ain't working on offense.
  22. Up 30 by the half so I can go watch Bama and FSU kick the living crap out of each other. Love my Bulls but in the SEC, it just means....more. Lol
  23. ...and so it begins. Lmao. We should just go ahead and fire this guy now, right??
