Houston is fixing to do some special things if they can hold onto CTH for a few more years. Those guys are only going to get better.

That's the overall hope here. I think we all know how quickly we fell from grace with a coaching change and the fact that the floor for our program is below bowl eligibility; but I also believe our ceiling can be as high as Houston's. It's important to keep the machine rolling with this staff and to strike while the iron is hot with our weapons gaining more experience and playing time together. Lets hope the higher expectations coupled with being a known commodity now won't stall the bus.

Lots of trick plays I presumed and offense. Or lack of effort from the refs.

Or a Confefence Championship, heck I'll take the division. Just jeed to build a program that is always competing for Confefence championships year in and year out. The respect will come.

I remember that, I honestly thought I read somewhere on TOS that he had another surgery and that led to the RS; but I can't find anything to confirm it for the life of me! Really like the guy and hope he has a chance to start.

If Gibbons is healthy, which is a big if at this point. Derrick Calloway returning at DT too. I understand he stressed this is an opening day projection so he probably gets rotational work until he learns the defense.

It's all about the Benjamins. Just being in a power conference gives you so much more income to build up the program. OCS, IPF, better overall facilities. Imagine what CWT can do on the recruiting trail if he has P5 clout. At the end of the day we can't hold our breath here; even if conference realignment happens tomorrow, we most likely are not invited. We just need to improve on what we did this year and create a winning culture that carries on from class to class and coach to coach. Great programs never have bad years or miss out on bowl games. Time to build he streak fellas and the rest will work itself out!

BJ just needs to keep playing his game and make the most of his snaps. So happy for him, just a few weeks ago he was cut from the Seahawks PS and now he is playing in Houston.

i just don't get why conforming to what the committee says is the right way to go. They make up their own set of rules and standards every year. When making these schedules you never know who is going to be a solid team or have a down year. If they stop playing FCS teams for tune ups and then also stop playing G5 teams then who are they going to play? It amazes me that scheduling a lower tier P5 program has more weight than a solid G5 team. These terms are also made up words from the committee! I say sure, schedule Pitt or whomever as an away game, and make it a point to embarrass them at their home stadium. Then when they call back and ask for a revenge game tell them "it's not in our program's best interest to schedule you at this time." If realignment happens for us great, but if it doesn't then make the best out of the current situation. The only thing to focus on is creating a solid program that competes for conference championships year in and year out. Play anyone, anywhere.

That's a real toss up, but all signs point to no unless we crack it in the preseason or are just outside looking in (which I still feel is unlikely.) look how long it took for Memphis or Houston to crack it, heck even Temple and Navy. G5 is still on the outside when it comes to respect in the polls. If we won the bowl game I would be more willing to say yes, but I think not. I'm also not looking forward to playing Syracuse in the dome with a new head coach.

Unfortunately we are not in the SEC so 5 losses do not guarantee us a spot in the preseason polls, but I love the effort and excitement! I would love to be ranked going into that FSU game though....

We finished fourth last year so that's pretty close, it seemed to be a tight conference race for the most part. It's all about getting into the Regionals, from there anything can happen. Gonna be tough to replace a guy like ace Jimmy Herget. I believe in Coach Kingston though and will go to a handful of games again.

Where did you get the new mini helmets? I have only been able to find the old style gold with black symbol or white with green symbol.

Yeah there's a whole line of shirts and merch that combine the two at the bookstore. Very wierd.

This is an incredible accomplishment. All on the oline now. Thor seems to think the guys behind the seniors will do just fine, however. Have to imagine Mack is done after 2016, but he could easily own every RB record in the USF books.

Don't forget Jordan Reed as a sophomore. Feels like we have a lot of guys who are only going to get better. Really looking forward to V-S and Rod lining up together.

Conference victories in bowl games should only be a piece in the conference perception puzzle, not exemplify it. I don't buy the claim that one conference is better because of bowl games alone.

This is a clear cut 10 for me and here's why. When I was in undergrad (2008-12)I thought bowl games were going to be an automatic thing for USF from here on out, then CJL got fired and we al know the roller coaster of emotions that followed. I now work for USF and have watched the talk of the campus about the football program, and all athletics, take a major upswing. I promised myself as long as I could, especially as a season ticket holder, I would go to the next Bowl Game we got into. Able to get out of work and take a couple of days in Miami to cheer on the Green and Gold. Don't forget this is a very good WKU team with a generational QB, who is C-USA champs and #25 in the AP Poll. A very good statement can be made here, and an even bigger one next year.
