  1. COA's first two years have been tough to watch except for a handful a games. With a decent class coming in next year and full slate of scholarship players on the court we should be able to see real improvement.
  2. Yeah the minute ESPN released it last summer it was only a matter of time.
  3. They kind of lumped C Florida in our column almost as if it were a toss up. The bigger draw from this article IMO was the potential to go after a big fish in FSU. That would definitely shake up the house of the CFB landscape.
  4. He had 24 QB hurries in 8 games, the league leader had 36 in 16. The sacks and tackles were down, yes, but that was in part with the club and not being able to grip. I'm also a huge Giants fan and thought he was done, but loved his tenacity to get himself in game shape and when he came on the field he made a difference; albeit they were the worst defense in the league.
  5. Good possibility Giants let him walk; he was still highly effective with them when he returned . The big killer was the club on his arm and lack of being able to grab. If the additional surgeries help him get any semblance of a grip he could still be a beast
  6. CWT is good at convincing the local kids to stick around than to go to some of the above schools. Plus who knows how hard any of those "outrecruited" schools were actually recruiting those potential players. The whole magical veil of P5//G5 is just so misleading. I miss the old days where any school had the potential for a rise and they weren't labeled as anomalies if they rose from a "non power conference."
  7. If they play like they did against Memphis anything is possible. Looking for a tough and well fought match.
  8. Well when you put it that way that's not a bad set-up. A truly American Conference.
  9. Yeah they sniffed the championships with a bunch of younger guys. Don't really quite understand how these rankings work though. USF played extremely well to get up to #21, but other teams (FSU,UF) are still ranked extremely high.
  10. USF Men's Golf owning the state of Florida, rankings be ******!
  11. Yeah ways to enter are here. Either renew or put down new deposits during the period this has been active, or if you already renewed you can enter by emailing them your info. So the entrees they are pulling from are renewals from the past week and those who entered their info (probably more of the later.) I'll be renewing my two this week.
  12. It's just for renewals during the particular time period I believe?
  13. USF has some votes in the top 25 this year. I also didn't realize how strong Liberty was in the grand scheme of things. That was exciting though. All Florida schools should have a natural advantage in baseball but I'm willing to worry about the now and not the then . It looks like now the team can compete in this conference and there were freshmen last night that contributed right out of the gate. Plenty to be optimistic about. Thats the thing about the department, you can point at most sports and see reason for optimism.
  14. That game was a classic RKO.... came outta NOWHERE! Perry looked dominant and was hitting mad buckets and the guys finally look like they have a system and a role. A little depth and direction and this team looks exciting. Curious if it was hitting a sluggish Memphis team or if the team is starting to finally figure somethings out. Would be fun to end the season on a high note.
  15. That's real nice. Is this what we can expect at the OCS club level?
  16. Looks like his role is now Assistant Head Coach/Tight Ends Coach, but will still have input in offensive game planning. From what I understand the titles are mainly a way to get coaches pay raises and such so who knows exactly how the roles will play out in game planning and on the sidelines. Taggert still calling plays.
  17. I work on campus but my job sometimes has me working events on the weekends; before I was a season ticket holder I was in the same boat. Even though I have to generally miss two games a year just by bad luck, there are huge perks just being a Bulls Club member that carry over year round. Plus, every ticket helps towards building the program. I won't attest to anyone's budget but it's such a bargain right now for new holders.
  18. More love for the signal caller from Athlon Sports. Top 20 QBs on the Rise. http://athlonsports.com/college-football/college-footballs-top-20-quarterbacks-rise-2016
  19. Price proved to me this season that his hype coming out of HS was justified and he has the chops to play in the league. Definitely under utilized early in his career here, mostly due to a poor passing offense and run first mentality. Wish he receieved an invite to the combine to prove his skill set. Have a feeling starting next year and beyond we will start seeing more Bulls around the post season programs and in the draft conversation.
  20. Stepping away from the "which city is better overall" conversation... Talking strictly from a "destination away game" standpoint; USF isn't too terribly far away from Disney/Universal. The theoretical family would have to rent a car to make it, but most likely they would have to do the same from UCF anyway. Just don't buy the fact that Big 12 officials would consider UCF/Orlando a destination spot and USF/Tampa is not. Regardless one isn't going without the other.
  21. The only 20-L team on the conference. Sheesh. Would be quite he story of Perry coming back is the spark plug to end the year fairly positive.
  22. That was definitely money well spent, the ad campaigns, the whole symbol, marking it on everything athletics. Curious if the next athletics season will bring a new campaign or if this is par the course.
  23. Very nice game all around, ECU or not. Use this as momentum and finish the season strong.
