  1. Need some of the underclassmen to step up. This is the most intriguing unit going into camp.
  2. It's tough to feel like you're owning this whole game but only be up by 5. Need to play with the same intensity. Good to see Perry playing good effort basketball.
  3. Just hoping the guys we have don't decide to transfer out. Need to weather the storm to make improvements in the system.
  4. The whole "Team Tampa" definitely is bringing all of the local athletics teams together. Curious if bringing USF Health downtown will tie Vinik into the greater expansion of a USF donor basis in athletics; especially if baseball moves to Tampa (steep I know.) Not necessarily him personally, but the expansion getting the brand out there.
  5. King has the chops to be a monster recruiter in the Bay Area. The position shuffling may have been more about getting King on the staff then it was about demoting Reaves. Reaves will probably take over sole possession of OC duties, too. At the end of the day, in Harlan and Taggert we trust.
  6. I'll be there. Always exciting to see the improvement of the current players and the ability of the new players.
  7. We're USF fans that's just natural. Still in the mindset that no game is a gimme.
  8. Didn't really think about it but that can turn out to be one of the toughest OOC schedules in the country for FSU in 2016; depending how Ole Miss/UF/USF shakes out. Jimbo's teams generally don't take other teams for granted, but it would be great to strike while sandwhiched between two of their harder in conference games. Houston has the tape on how to stop DC4 and attack that defense. Hopefully CWT and staff studies that film. That being said, I hope USF doesn't look too far ahead on this matchup. NIU and @Syracuse are no pushovers.
  9. That looks fantastic! I'd put that up in my office. Just one minor detail, you forgot a home game.... 1/9/2017
  10. Wasn't a slight towards them, but more towards having the game on Thanksgiving affecting the attendance. A lot of people from both fan bases couldn't make it due to that; I was able to due to most of my family not coming into town for thanksgiving or working at retail stores. Honestly looking forward to both USF and UCF being decent at the same time; the atmosphere is always intense, can you imagine if both teams are ranked and the division is on the line?
  11. That's very good to hear. Have to imagine locking it in on Saturday after Thanksgiving will make sure they pack the house, especially if that game has conference implications. Wasn't looking forward to a potential repeat of Thanksgiving in Orlando; that attendance was..... Interesting. I think USF outnumbered UCF.
  12. Regardless of what the ranking says its positive press which is always a plus. In this day and age in, CFB perception is reality. We can obsess over the rankings or use it as a springboard to bolster our standing in the CFB landscape. One thing still haunts us and it's the fact we generally don't close the regular season on a positive note. Outside of the bowl game this year, we finally closed in conference and beat everyone in our division. CWT and the staff now need to use this positive press as momentum to drive ST sales and prove to us that last year was a step on the staircase and not the final landing.
  13. Curious how the schedule shakes out with such a home heavy September. Don't really want to travel to Philly or Cinci in November.
  14. In fact the only team in front of us on our schedule is FSU. What a difference a year makes.
  15. They might need to add four, when Oklahoma and Texas bail. I'm sure Boren didn't enjoy being told to shut his pie hole. Should be interested to see how this all works out; maybe four super-conferences is on the horizon.
  16. Laksa is going to be special and keeps my hopes high for the foundation of the WBB program past this season. CJF has been lights out recently with his international recruiting.
  17. 90. FWIW, UCF was ranked 71 so of course these early predictions can be faulty depending on certain factors. It's nice to see advanced stats back up what we all think 2016 can be.
  18. Bill Connelly's ranking system, whether you're a proprietor or not, generally gets it close to right when it comes to advanced stats. This complete list was posted on Twitter this morning with all 128 FBS teams. USF clocked in at #41, behind only Boise State in the G5 (and BYU) and tops in the American. The early projections utilize Returning Starters, Recruiting Impact and Five Year Average to come up with the rankings.
  19. USF Football Twitter said 9th to win a ring. i searched around for a complete list and found a Tom Zebold article written earlier this week with this spreadsheet. 20. Panthers 30 Broncos 20 Tedd Ginn Jr Jonathan Stewart 400 yds oh wait we're not playing this game. Go Kayvon Webster!
  21. This really needs to be the path we choose when it comes to basketball. If Harlan believes in him we can't make any knee jerk reactions and let him build a program from the (virtual) ground up, regardless of the "three year rule." Let's see COA, with all of his guys eligible and playing the kind of basketball he wants for the program and see if that can be good enough to compete in this conference. Looking forward to the 2016-17 iteration of the Running with the Bulls.
  22. That's a great package. Went one day to a softball game that overlapped with baseball and it was a fun atmosphere, definitely planning on going to more this year. Could be a good year for both squads.
  23. Different team on the road and really missing LF. Good to see Jenkins is back in the rotation, hopefully playing a full game will help bring back that presence down low. Eyes on Tulane, but definitely circling that road trip to Louisville. Hopefully everyone is healthy by then.
  24. Love these updates by Harlan. Gives good insight into the month that was in USF Athletics and what to expect in the future. Thought it was very interesting he added the part about boosters contacting recruits, especially in social media. Any season ticket holder is considered one; goes to show you to never tweet at any recruit. Really looking forward to baseball/softball. Had a lot of fun at a few of those games last year.
