    I think he means that all other sports are cyclical but track and field is always down. This season, the other sports we're down too, so it looks even worse.

    I hope he works a miracle but there is no upside for a P5 to play us. They play their conference games and schedule a few cupcakes and call it a successful season.

    Whats the big deal? If he didn't think he was 100%, why risk an injury playing a meaningless garbage bowl game? I'm sure they all have aspirations of playing in the NFL, not realistic but I don't have a problem with a player sitting out because he doesn't want to jeopardize the rest of his life.

    Well, ESPNU has a college hockey game on with 13 minutes left and the Bulls game is supposed to start in 5. I was on the wrong regional espnU feed....

    Might be better that it is just financial. That means they see potential.

    I think it's a nice reward for the student athletes who took a leap of faith at the dumpster fire basketball program. Their standards should be higher next season, but I think they deserved this for the hard work they put in all season.

    You would think the Lightning would throw them some money. Increasing the amount of hockey fans / players in the Tampa Bay Area can only benefit the Lightning.
