  1. So much for CBG’s lucky jacket…at least WBB is still competitive, and Baseball and Softball are off to good starts. We’re about to find out how good CBG is as a leader and coach. Can he convince most of the team (especially Caleb Murphy) to stay? Hoping that he can keep a nucleus of players that have now been together for a year so that we’ll improve next season. Hate to say it - wait ‘til next year… Go Bulls
  2. Agree - UCF will make it a long day next Sunday if we don’t shoot better than 7% from the 3 point line. CJF did say in the pre-game talk that this week (next three games) will determine the season. Not trying to be a Negative Nelly, but we’re NIT bound if the next 2 games are like today. #14 from Tulane was very obnoxious and arrogant today. Hope that the team plays and beats them in the tournament just to take her down a notch. At least our school’s mascot isn’t water… Go Bulls
  3. They were USF Army ROTC cadets. Proud to say I graduated from that program (many years ago). Hooah and Go Bulls!
  4. Went to the WBB game today. We didn’t show any energy or intensity, and your team did with good shooting and aggressive defense. Hate to say it, but your team played better and deserved to win. The rematches next month should be good games. Go Bulls
  5. Hands down the best game all season. Great attendance by the students. The players were feeding off of the energy in the building, and it showed. Even Les Muma was getting into it; taking pictures of the packed student section, and celebrating with Andrew? Fishman afterwards. LaQuincy Redeau was at the game also, wearing his #3 slime jersey. Games like this restore my faith in MBB, and USF athletics overall. Hoping that WBB can make 2-0 for the weekend vs Oviedo State tomorrow. Will be making the trip over to support the team. Go Bulls
  6. They were dumb enough to foul him - he made them pay for it with 2 free throws. Was great to see him get in the game, and kudos to BG for putting him in. Go Bulls
  7. I was at the game, and understand this sentiment. I kept thinking during the game that we should have been on the field, not them, in our house (even if we do rent our current house). it was interesting observing the UCF fans. Some of them jumped up and down, not realizing that concrete stadiums don’t bounce. Their cheerleaders have a sign telling them to be quiet, which tells me that their fan base doesn’t have enough sense to know when (and when not) to cheer. Their were even some of their fans standing around in the bathroom in the Club area watching the game on TV, (instead of actually watching the game live). Guess the bathrooms at the Oviedo House of Tin don’t have TVs… I just wonder if they are now going to have a parade at Disney World since they are now the (Undeclared) State Champs. Even saw a billboard in Tampa today proclaiming said championship. However, I will say that their fans showed a passion, spirit, and intensity that I have not seen from the USF fan base I’m a long time. Don’t know what we need to do (besides win), and I don’t know if an OCS is the answer, but we need to get back to what I saw on the 2008 game vs. Kansas video recently. Let’s stop ******** about the past and get this done! Go Bulls
  8. The 29th is a doubleheader. The women are playing Jax at 4:00, with the men playing at 7:00. Two games may be a lot for a 5 year old, but she might enjoy seeing “the young ladies” (as Coach Fernandez calls them) play. Glad to see that you’re starting them early… Go Bulls
  9. Agree about the awnings - have thought that myself. I was at the UF-FSU game in Gainesville a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed that there were bronze plaques with the names of boosters on top of the bollards. What a neat fundraising idea to pay for something that is basically a security measure. With innovative solutions such as this, we’ll be able to pay for the stadium quickly. (Sarcasm Font) I would ever consider sponsoring a urinal, and dedicating it to UCF Athletics…lol Go Bulls
  10. I live in Polk County (Lake Wales), and agree with Outlaw about SEU. I will say that they do have a nice, relatively new (about 5 years old) football stadium. While it’s not a template for us to go by, it has some good architectural features, and looks much nicer than the Oviedo House of Tin. I look at it and wander why can’t USF have an OCS? Funny story - got tix to go to an SEU game once. My Admin Assistant the time, who got me the tix, told me I had to find someone at the stadium named “Will Call” to get the tix… lol
  11. This is even better than the UCF Stadium Collapse Insurance website (which has recently been upgraded). I’ve had so much fun showing the collapse insurance website to the UCF fans I used to work with - they just didn’t know how to respond! Kudos to all involved with the great work done on these websites. Go Bulls PS - Still waiting on Danny White to schedule a 1 and 1 with UCF… lol
  12. Her banner is up in the rafters. I was just making the point that it deserves to be there. Never saw Wanda Guyton play, but I hope that we have more players like her and Courtney in the future. Go Bulls
  13. Courtney is a class act who has represented this university well. In addition to her athletics, she was the conference student scholar-athlete her senior year. Breanna Stewart of UConn who got a degree in something irrelevant called Sports in Society. In contrast, Courtney graduated with a “real” degree (Criminology), although there is a bad joke there somewhere, given the food truck incident. An example of how Courtney is a class act - in her last regular season game as a Senior, she kept passing the ball to fellow Senior Micah Kroll, who had spent her four years on the bench. When Micah (finally)made a three-pointer, the Sun Dome exploded in cheers. I’ll never forget that shot! Courtney could have padded her numbers, but instead was a good team mate who passed the ball to someone else to give them a chance in their last game. When I reminded her of that when visiting with her the other night, she just smiled. Her jersey deserves to hang in the rafters, and I wish her the best in her future endeavors. Go Bulls
  14. Do they still run around the stadium (between the 100 & 200 sections) at the end of the game? Don’t recall seeing it recently. If they don’t, I hope that they start again. A great tradition. Go Bulls
  15. Why are you (a UCF fan) on this site? Shouldn’t you be on www.flyoverstatecollegefootball.com or big12replacements.org instead? Your school decided to leave the conference; it’s time for you to move on. Good bye!
  16. I think a lot of CJF. He has one of the best programs on campus. We have WBB season tix, and his is the only Coaches Club that we donate to. I appreciate that he is supporting another coach. However, It’s not CJF’s place to call out fans for expressing their opinions. To be blunt, CJF needs to concentrate on getting his team into the second weekend of the NCAA tournament (something he has never done),instead of telling the fan base (the same fan base that supports his program) what to think or how to act. Go Bulls
  17. UCF - Well on the way to becoming the Vanderbilt of the Big 12 - but without the academic excellence. Go Bulls
  18. We’ve had problems with the app also. Takes more than one try to download to Google Pay. To make matters worse, we had people show up twice claiming we were in their seats last night. I saw one person’s ticket, and unless their is a difference between WC & WCA seats, the seats were the same. John - maybe you can comment? Oh for the days of paper tickets…
  19. UCF just made the decision that playing schools in exciting locales such as Ames, Iowa; Manhattan, Kansas; Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Lubbock, Texas was more important than staying in the same conference with a school only 96 miles away with a “natural rivalry”. If UCF doesn’t want to be in the same conference as USF, then why should USF continue the series, or play UCF in any sport for that matter? Having traveled to Lubbock once a month for three years, I can assure you that UCF athletics will soon find out that DFW means “Delayed For Weather”. UCF made the decision to move on; USF will do the same. Hope that the move works out for your program. Good luck.
  20. John: Thanks for posting on TBP. It shows your passion for USF, and how this is not just a job for you. Keep pushing! Go Bulls
  21. Thanks for posting Augie’s comments. He was on target, well spoken and passionate. Always been proud of him, as he is also a Northeast High graduate (Go Vikes). I hope that he is welcomed back into the program, as he can be part of the solution. Go Bulls
