  1. I just completed this quiz. My Score 53/100 My Time 164 seconds
  2. Speaking of eligibility, I saw BJ last night. Asked him if he had any eligibility left, implying that he should down on the court. He laughed and said he wasn’t tall enough… It’s great that he has come back to be part of USF athletics again! Go Bulls
  3. That general lost credibility with me once he said that. His aide needs to get ripped a new one for that kind of that mistake.
  4. Good question. King didn’t graduate from USF. He went to that school that has water for a mascot (Tulane). That being said, he’s from St. Pete, so he has local connections. He did go to Gibbs, and not Northeast (my alma mater), but I won’t hold that against him (lol). His pro experience is worthy, and I thought he did a good job with Taggart’s offense. I think that he was even Q’s quarterback coach at one time. I’d hope that the next coach would bring him back on the staff, as I’d like to see him on the sidelines again. Go Bulls
  5. How about Gruden? He has been seen sitting courtside at basketball games. Maybe he could run Spider 2 Y Banana on the court…lol Go Bulls
  6. Here’s what caught my attention about the list - excluding USF, all of the teams were in alphabetical order - except for UCF! Thought it was great. Just another example of how we’re a preeminent university - we had someone clever enough to come up with this. It’s also a subtle way to diss that school to the east by putting them in last place on a list. Hope everyone enjoyed this different type of post. Go Bulls
  7. I wasn’t comparing Spurrier’s vs. Leavitt’s achievements, if that’s what you mean by “laughable”. I was using Spurrier as an example of a person who is well-known, has had a significant impact on a program, and now represents that program in an ambassador-type role. Seems to me that Leavitt is also well known amongst the USF fan base, and has also had a significant impact on the program. I would think that Leavitt would be a good ambassador for USF football, if he would be interested. Would never be a dull moment! Guess I’m now a true Bullspenner, now that I’ve been smazzaed… Go Bulls
  8. Take a look at the Conference Standings portion of tonight’s programs (see picture below). Post “I see it” when you figure it out… Go Bulls
  9. A week ago, I would have not have agreed to bringing CJL back. However, given that the program is at an all-time low, he needs to be brought back in some form. He would energize the fan base, get former fans interested again, and generate publicity. I like the idea of him being a coach/coach emeritus, with an associate head coach/HC in waiting. It seemed to work with Bobby Bowden and Jimbo. Plan B could be to ask CJL to be an ambassador for the program. Spurrier does something similar for UF. These are critical times for a program that is at a juncture. Do we move forward and pursue P5 status? Or do we accept G5/FCS life? Time to do something special or different! Go Bulls
  10. I know you brought up the women’s golf coach just to make a point, and you’re not criticizing her, but I got to speak up for Erika Brennan. She’s from Lake Wales (where I live), and we have mutual friends/acquaintances. It’s hard to compare football and golf records, but she appears to have had a much better record this fall than CJS. She’s been at USF about as long as Gregory, and I suspect she has had a better record than him also. While she hasn’t won a conference title yet, at least her program is on an upward trajectory. That remains to be seen for MBB, and it is difficult right now to argue that football is improving. I know that FB & MBB are the marquee sports; just trying to show support for other programs. Go Bulls
  11. Skingraft: Good luck and best wishes downrange. I took an all-expense-paid trip to Baghdad in 2004, courtesy of Uncle Sam, so I have some idea of what you’re going through. I’m assuming that are no BK’s on the FOB in Kviv? (lol) Would be great to visit with you sometime when you’re back stateside. v/r and Go Bulls
  12. Loved the graphic showing the tin man holding up a “Big-L” flag. ECU next plays the other incoming Big-12 teams (Houston and Cincinnati). Kinda hoping ECU beats them also… Go Bulls
  13. But can you have a hamburger on a positioning flight? Lol
  14. You’re thinking the same way I am. My thought that having more local players would bring more family/friends, who would then develop an interest in USF WBB. There is some local talent. I know that Bartow and Haines City High have sent players to D1 programs, so it would be nice IMO if we could get a local player or two. Would really be awesome if CJF were to get a kid from my alma mater, Northeast High. Agree with you about loyalty. I’ve heard some folks in the Hardwood Club get salty real quick when things aren’t going well with WBB. it will be interesting to see how Coach Abe does at Georgia, as she’s a good coach. Based on Heupel’s performance at Tennessee, I’d say that Danny White does a good job selecting coaches. Go Bulls
  15. I’m good - just frustrated about the current status of USF athletics.
  16. I was thinking the same thing during the game. Hoping that Timmy was watching, as he could have come in and won the game instead of sitting on the couch. I also hope that Timmy’s dad was watching… Go Bulls
  17. To emphasize John’s point - A couple of days prior to the game, I found out secondhand from a Tulane Alum that the Glazers’ sister went to Tulane, and that they were having a tail gate at RayJay. Did some quick research, and saw on Tulane’s website where Jill Henkin (must be a sister-in-law) and Avie Glazer donated to Tulane’s OCS. Not my place to tell the Glazers how to spend their money, and the Glazers are savvy businessmen. However, I can’t help but think that money given to the Glazers from USF fans thru the TSA may have been used to help Tulane (a conference rival) build their OCS. Reason number 347 why we need our own OCS. Given that the Glazers have profited from USF fans for years, I would hope that they would donate to our OCS. Doubt it, though. If the Glazers do in fact support USF (especially in Athletics), then I’m willing to be corrected. Go Bulls
  18. I remember watching their last game (that they lost). Instead of doing the lineup after the game, the UCF team ran straight into the locker room. An example of bad sportsmanship IMO, which reflects poorly on the players, the coach, and the program. I will give Coach Abe credit for rebuilding that program. Her ability to develop local players was impressive. Diamond Battles, the conference player of the year, played her high school ball at Winter Haven High, 49 miles away from the Yuengling Center. While I can understand why CJF didn’t want Battles (wasn’t impressed with her demeanor on the court) I wish that CJF would look at more local talent. Could help expand the fan base. That being said, we’re reloading and they are rebuilding, so kudos to CJF for building a solid, stable program. After yesterday’s football game, I’m looking forward even more to WBB season starting. Go Bulls
  19. Oops - meant to say “Music to my ears”… I was a Geography Major, not an English Major. Go Bulls
  20. Agree! There has been more than a few years (usually when FB and MBB aren’t doing well) when WBB has kept me motivated to be a USF fan. Glad to see Oviedo State ranked so low. While their previous coach won games, I found their team to be obnoxious, arrogant, and unsportsmanlike (a common theme for UCF athletics and much of their fan base). Looking forward to sweeping them this year. Going to their house and beating them has a special satisfaction. They are rebuilding; we reload. Kudos to CJF for his continued winning program. CJF mentioned to me at an event a few months ago that this should be a really good team, and that he expects many games to be over by halftime. Music to my years… Go Bulls
  21. Agree! We need guys like Q, Augie, and Thor on the coaching staff. Guys that are intense, passionate, from the area (or state) with local connections and bleed green and gold. Got to try something different… Go Bulls
  22. If he’s out for the year, would he be eligible for the play next year? I understand that he’s a graduate student, and may just want to get started with his post-college life. My wife is a Gaither grad, so he’s one of the guys we cheer just a little bit more for… Go Bulls
