Portugal is very overrated. If Ronaldo has an average day, USA can pull a draw or win. If we can get a win against Ghana, which I think is likely, then we have a great chance to get out of the group. We have no chance against Germany. USA and Portugal are very even imo.

WTF? I wouldn't sleep on Cameroon. And if Mexico can get it together, they have the talent to put a scare into a team.

I don't think anyone else in the world believes the US and Portugal are even, but it is possible to win that game. Problem is that the US defense has had all sorts of issues with less talented scoring teams. And Ghana is the team that always beats the US regardless of talent level, the Rutgers to our USF. Sucks, but maybe Klinsmann has elevated the team to another level. If we can somehow manage to get out of this group it would get the attention of the world. I still think they are overrated and will gladly come back to this thread and say I was wrong if they smoke us. And I just did a quick google search of soccer power rankings and clicked on the 1st link. Portugal is ranked 16th and the US is ranked 17th in the world. They are Ronaldo or bust. If he has an average Ronaldo day like he does sometimes, they are an average team. He is no Messi. http://espnfc.com/spi/rankings?cc=5901

Here's to hoping Germany beats Potrugal and we beat Ghana later. If we lose to Ghana, then it's over.

They are up 3-0 at half-time and the Portugal defender (Pepe) received a red card. He's going to be out for the USA game.
