Students are becoming more and more less passionate about College Football, even at SEC Programs like Georgia student attendance has become an issue. There are current UCF Students that will pick a Saturday Orlando City game over UCF. There are also a lot of fans that heard for 4+ years that Conference Realignment was inevitable and yet the Program sits here on the outside looking in. I'm assuming that is the case at USF as well especially with the small taste of it during the BE days. I keep saying this over and over. We are in the midst of a cultural/generational/demographic tsunami. Attendance is an issue even in the P5 and the NFL. That is why I am dubious about the benefit of an OCS. P5 would help, it would help a lot but I think the glory days of packed land grant university football stadiums are going to become a grandpa story in the very near future. Combine a non-premier conference with a generation that likes things interactive and grew up with tv showing things better than you can get in the stadium and you have a future of sports being played in smaller stadiums and living on tv revenue.
