How are you paying $3600 for hosting and forum software? This site requires a dedicated server with ~20 GB RAM? If not, you're probably over-provisioned. Or, there's a lot more traffic than you'd expect ... I'd be shocked if you needed more than Azure S2 ($149/mo). I know some pretty big sites running on it.

We will be scaling back as soon as possible. I moved to a higher cost server host because the low cost I was on, kept crashing. The software and the server deals were made back in the heyday of USF Football.  When I... get this, was planning for "enormous growth".

 

Now we could probably run on a VPS or something.

Site is completely unusable on iOS, and that's not hyperbole. Instant redirect to spam app. Every time.

No problems whatsoever with iOS 8, full version rather than mobile app, TBP6 theme ...

No problems here either, with mobile skin and iOS 8...

It's working fine today. Yesterday was unusable on mobile theme.

Honestly even with enormous growth, the resource requirements of a forum site would be fine on a higher end scalable VPS. Throw in a good CDN for static content/media and it'd soar.
