Best thing is that 4-2-5s are mainly designed to shut down spread attacks. Given that the American is spread league it should help us with all this florida talent.

True. But remember all those teams that ripped off massive yards rushing against USF this year? Not sure it will do much for that. The 3-4 gave up like 500 more rushing yards than the previous year's 4-3. YPC was 3.9 in 2013 and with the 3-4 went to 4.5. Now they take a player (3+4 vs 4-2), a LB, out of the box. And I thought they went to a 3-4 because of lack of talent at DE. Is that fixed? I'm in wait and see mode.

I'm not so sure this is a great idea given our plethora of LBs and dearth of DL and DBs.  We better hope a couple of our better LBs can move to the line or back to the hybrid-safety position.

Jimmy bayes fits this criteria and I really think whitehurst does as well. Remember at DE we should have Eric Mayes, Bronson, black wood as new comers plus v jackson.

The fifth db will be a linebacker never lining up in a traditional spot

As long as the defense is aggressive, I really couldn't give 2 poops who we line up.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
