With Auburn in charge vs Bama, there is a good shot of the SEC being shut out of the college playoffs. The bad thing for us is that two Big 12 teams could get in, making it better for them than if they had a conference championship game. Not a good scenario for expansion.

Alabama has won the SEC West, so they will get a chance to play Mizzou next week.  That said, I don't think they fall beyond #4 this week even with a loss.

Problem was Auburn laid and egg vs TAMU.

If Bama wins the SEC championship, they should make the playoff, by far the toughest conference this year.

FSU wins every game by 5 points or less it's ridiculous. A bad SEC West were 2 missed feild goals away from dropping FSU, but ACC did top all of their SEC West rivals, so maybe the ACC isn't that bad.

Next week will be very interesting...

 

FSU is playing their toughest game of the year against Georgia Tech.

 

Oregon is playing Arizona... who already beat them once this season.

 

Ohio State and their 3rd string QB will be playing Wisconsin.

 

Baylor... perhaps without Bryce Petty... will be hosting Kansas State.

 

Alabama will be playing Missouri in the SEC championship.

 

There could be a lot of chaos for the selection committee to sort through.

The SEC is overrated if that's possible. Like you said, they all lost today to ACC opponents. Don't get me wrong the SEC is good. They just aren't head and shoulders above other conferences this year.

Because they don't have a direction (north, south, east, west... and central (not being a true direction in definition, but grouped in for football)) in their name, perhaps?

What school without a direction in their name is referred to as a "directional" school?
