The poor defense is directly correlated to an inept offense. from 2005-2012 we ranked in the top half of FBS in defense every year. The past 2 seasons we ranked 74th and 85th respectively. That is mainly due to ranking 123rd and 118th in scoring offense the past 2 years. If the offense can't stay on the field and move the ball for scores the defense gets worn down. Case in point every game save for Tulsa where teams pull away in the second half due to the defense being constantly on the field.

This team is beyond bad. I believe they'd be better without a coach. Kind of like when sgt hulka got hurt in stripes. The guys would be better off coaching themselves

As bad as Holtz was he actually won a bowl and beat ND. Taggart has been worse than Holtz if that's possible.

As I suspected most of us on the board are reasonable with our expectations and think CWT deserves at least another year. As in politics, the fringe folks always cries the loudest lol.

That being said, he is def on the hot seat!

That being said, he is def on the hot seat!

 

I think that depends on how hot the seat gets. If they lose to SMU the seat is in Hell.  If there is some coach that Harlan is interested in then the seat is very hot. If USF finishes the season strong then he gets another year. So it is all right there.

SMU isn't routing anyone. They have by far the worst offense in the country. They are the only team that hasn't scored 100 points this year. They have scored 49 total while allowing 48 points...per game...by far the most points per game allowed.

SMU has the worst offense of any FBS team in at least the past 10 years. They also have the worst defense of any FBS team in at least the past 10 years. This is probably the worst team of all time and it isn't really close. If we somehow lose this game Taggart should be gone 5 minutes after.

SMU drops 30 on our sorry freaking D.

I blame most of that on our sorry offense. At least the defense has shown up a few times this season. The offense has just been terrible. One of the most boring offenses to watch in college football cause they are 3 & out most of the time. No flow at all. Just glad there are only a three or maybe 4 if we are lucky, games left.
