As far as I'm concerned the media can be as "mean" as they need to be with professional sports. With college, coaches (because they are getting paid big $) should be fair game, but the media should have restraint when it comes to players.

Media-I don't understand how that is acceptable and tolerated, you are willing to take a chance that his head won't be in the game next week, you are more than half way through the season & your QB's head isn't the game

Answer: it's not. It's a statement. And it's a statement of personal opinion.

That's why those type questions aren't asked.

The other proposed "question" the media should have asked from the op: 

 

Media-Wille your offense has ranked  xyz at USF and xyz at WKU, how can you continue to expect to win with offensive #'s such as those.

I'm not sure why anyone would watch those type interviews expecting to learn anything of any significance

I think this is it. The local media has no vested interest in caring for the school or its fan base. We have very apathetic fans, which translates to very apathetic local media when it comes to covering USF. UF, on the other hand, it's a different story.

Exactly.  I said as much in another thread.  It really is as simple as the local media just don't care about USF football.
