WTF?

When we moved to 11 teams, why did we not move to 20 conference games?

Conference Opponents Announced for Men’s Basketball

Pertinent information from American meetings

TAMPA, May 28, 2014 – American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco announced the 2014-15 men’s basketball conference pairings on Wednesday.

With the addition of East Carolina, Tulane and Tulsa, the American will be an 11-member league during the upcoming season. In a new scheduling format, schools will face eight of its 10 opponents twice and the other two opponents once each - one at home and one away.

Led by first year head coach Orlando Antigua, USF will play UCF, UConn, East Carolina, Houston, SMU, Temple, Tulane and Tulsa twice (home and away). The Bulls will play Cincinnati on the road and Memphis at home.

The American announced in April that the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. would host the 2015 conference championships. All 11 schools will participate in the championship with the format calling for three first-round games Thursday, March 12; followed by four quarterfinal games on March 13; two semifinals on March 14; and the championship game Sunday afternoon, March 15. The entire American Men’s Basketball Championship will be available across ESPN’s national outlets.

The entire USF men’s basketball schedule with dates and non-conference opponents will be released at a later date.

The Bulls return four players who saw playing time last season in Corey Allen Jr., Anthony Collins, Jordan Omogbehin and Chris Perry. Antigua is in his first season as head coach after spending the past five seasons as an assistant coach at Kentucky.

Getting the two of the best teams only once a piece sucks for RPI purposes.

I would imagine that USF should be in that top 5 list. Maybe I am just biased with my Green & Gold googles. But is great to Bullieve again!!! GO BULLS!!!
