After the NCAA wins, we had a revived bball energy/feel at USF, including the new dome and the upgrade in facilities. But then the energy went right out the window. Losing became a trademark, again, this year.

So much energy we couldn't come close to a sellout in the first game at the upgraded Dome, coming off the best year in the history of the program, against a supposed hated rival ....

Hopefully, CSM is the guy to bring out the fans without us having to reach a Sweet 16 to MAYBE get them. He's got the look, young, energetic, New York accent, Charlie Brwon sweater ... all stuff we really haven't seen here. Next season was already one of the most anticipated in a long while and now even the Stan haters can join in on the anticipation ...

Key is are you happy TripleB?

Life's too short not to be happy ....

I thought USF would drop the press release at 5 pm eastern. Nothing yet.

I like this guy from the Oracle:

@MikeMalloryUSF: Either someone important is out of town or Masiello's agent is still working this contract. Everybody is reporting it, nothing from USF.

Add to that nothing from Manhattan College either.

We tripled or quadrupled his salary. You hope it would be. It's a big risk. He's going to have to help change the culture at USF. Maybe that helps keep him here.

If he wins and if CWT wins, we'll have the means to match offers that may come as a result of that success.  If Pitino retires or the NBA comes calling, all bets are off.

OK, panic: Sources tell me Masiello is NOT a done deal for USF. The terms “chaos†and “holding pattern†& got used. Oh. My. God.

It very much still could/will happen, but don’t expect anything to be announced today that’s for sure.
