Looks like the only place he can win as a HC is in the Ivy League (by winning I mean overall conference record).  Last time I looked, they hadn't blessed the AAC as the Ivy League of the South, therefore, I would pass.  He failed at Seton Hall and he failed at Michigan.......no thank you.

In seven years, Harvard basketball coach Tommy Amaker's teams have won four consecutive Ivy League championships, and for the third year in a row, they're in the NCAA tournament -- all for a program that had never won a title in the 60-year history of the Ivy League.

This hire would be a great hire. Unlike other guys mentioned, this guy improved along every stop he made. At michigan I think he thought he had it made there and probably if we could do all over again it would be different. Would gladly welcome him here and after making a few stops he might even be our Mark Few. Ready to make his final coaching stop.

Amaker is in a good place now. The Ivy leagues is where he belongs

There is a HUGE difference between the Ivy League and real college sports.

What we need to do is bring in a quality coach that has a proven track record at our level.

We have the $$ to spend, so why not target a successful lower tier coach from one of the smaller colleges that have had success in the tourney?
