We'll be at the softball game barring any more surprises with my mother. Sara is supposed to start. Hope she gets off to a better start than last season. If I remember right she struggled the first few appearances. Gators ranked #3 in preseason polls.

I wouldn't expect Sara to throw anymore than four innings if she's holding UF down. Previous years have demonstrated that Coach E uses these tournaments as a chance to groom his young players. I would be surprised if she's the only girl on the mound Thursday. I'm hoping that's not the case - I'd like to know where we really stand coming into the season and this would be a great litmus test for us. It seems we have the same questions year in and year out - where are we going to manufacture runs from when we face a top pitcher. Well, UF has a pitcher on par with Sara, if not better. Either way, we'll need a great team effort to open the season with a W. My gut says we go down 4-0. I'm praying I'm wrong though!

The one nice part about playing softball for USF - especially if your family is close to Tampa - we open the season with essentially 38 straight home games. Hoping I can get to Houston for the games with the Cougs and the AAC tourney. Go ladies!

Big game tomorrow. Not too late for others to join us and come support the Lady Bulls in person as we take down # 3 UF.   Should be nice weather as well.  The place should be packed, No excuses.

**** it... they are Bulls! Not Lady Bulls! When I see a USF athlete in an airport, I don't say "Go Lady Bulls". I say "Go Bulls!". Our chicklets can play!

Not sure if the forecast changed, but looking like a cool, dreary day today with rain on and off.  We still plan on going but if it is raining at 5:00 pm don't think we'll make the ride down to campus.
