However he didn't, and just like with the bike stealing Dr. Rao in the college of medicine a perfect storm was created when the incident combined with the appearance of a stagnated program that wasn't going to get to the next level and his truculent and obstructive response. Five points for use of the word "truculent".

Whether a face slap or a fib, there were several solutions that could have been managed by anyone with a modicum of skill and a scintilla of desire. You can lead a horse to water...and according to inside sources they led him and begged him to drink.

There are two college sports that matter, football and basketball. Please give me a list of her good hires?

No, she's paid to raise USF to excellence across all areas of the university, the most public of which is NCAA sports. Like it not, the USF athletic teams are absolutely within the scope of her required management. You may not like it, but it's the truth.
cmhatter Posted January 4, 2014 Group: Member Topic Count: 576 Content Count: 8,174 Reputation: 268 Days Won: 6 Joined: 09/02/2007 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Its pretty simple, Athletics is a business,(a huge business), Doug is the CEO of our business, responsible for ALL ASPECTS of our business, (wins, loses, money, facilities, conference affiliation, donors , hiring and firing those under him and overseeing those beneath him to hire and or fire the appropriate people as well., marketing, scheduling, ect... EVERYTHING ATHLETICS.) Basically Doug is the TOP DOG. He is also the 2nd highest paid TOP DOG in our current conference. If there is an issue at ANY level below him its his responsibility to hold those he hired or put in place to manage it responsible or fix it , If he doesn't than he fails. When you separate feeling and look at facts, (figures, money, wins , ect...) is Doug worth the money? This. I think total change starting at the top needs to happen. Basically anyone and everyone with a leadership position (except current coaches) should be replaced with completely new personnel.

Judy can raise money like nobody's business. She has increased our academic standing and has helped give students opportunities they can't get anywhere else. That's what she is paid (and paid quite a bit) to do. Judy takes the time to be seen publicly supporting the team and that is appreciated. She gets an athletic director to take care of athletics and at the end of the day the AD will be responsible for how our athletic programs perform overall. 1
