If we somehow beat OKL St do you guys think we'll be ranked or close to it?

 

No, I doubt that. USF has yet to play anyone yet, and beating OSU wont be enough, Beating OSU is a big IF!!!

 

 

If USF beats the Cowboys Monday and beats Detroit next Saturday I can see them being ranked that following Monday. I hope they aren't just because our next game after that will be at George Mason which won't be easy as it is now, never mind being freshly ranked in a hostile environment.

 

 

It won't be completely hostile. We've got a pretty good contingent going. Any Bulls in the DC area need to get on board for this one. 

 

We're wearing white by the way, since neither our green nor our gold will stand out, LOL

Team looked like it was coasting for the first 38 minutes.  I was confident we'd pull it off, as we're more talented.  But the Stetson team played well together, and a few of their players are really good.

 

Allen took over the game late, and Egbunu continues to develop as a force in the paint (as a defender...the offensive game needs to develop, but seems to be getting better).

 

As noted earlier, late in the game, we were outrebounded 30-20 (with many balls slipping thru Bulls hands).  That changed in the last few minutes, as we broke the game open.

 

We'll need to be a LOT better Monday...but I do wonder if Rudd took the night off, and some others were looking ahead.  Winning when getting outshot (55-40%) and out rebounded usually means a loss.  But we were aggressive, and piled up the FTs (couldn't hear, but seemed the Stetson coach was complaining about the number of fouls his guys were getting...pretty lopsided).

Last night was a fun game.

 

Had all the stuff that makes college hoops great ... and as swamprat mentioned, hats off to the students for helping with the atmosphere. Hope to have at least that many on Monday.

 

Last season I did not even know the sun dome sold beer. Why do they not inform the students about this better? Give us all a couple beers (and not $7 for a coors light!) and we could up our level. I was on the floor in the student section last night:

 

I have class with mandatory attendance Monday at 7 so I can't make the start of the OSU game.

The good thing is...it doesn't MATTER if we think or don't think about being ranked.  As long as the team & coaches are focused on the tasks at hand, we can dream or have nightmares as we like, without impacting the actual outcome of games (I know some people struggle with that concept, but it's worth restating).

It would really help in recruiting since that's where programs are built. We are looking at an incredibly important 2015 class where Heath has to replace both Collins and Allen. I believe this duo will do some great things at USF these next 2 seasons. They really are our little twin engines and if USF basketball is going to become a NCAAT team the next 2 seasons, those little guys may be the biggest reasons why.
