I have seen some RBs and he has 'it'. Although Davis had that nice run @Uconn, I thought the coaches would be able to discern Tice is the better RB. I was a little disappointed to see Davis split the carries last game but there should be no doubt now that Tice is the real deal.

# G. L. N. TD LG. AVG.

TICE, Darius 7 44 3 41 0 24 5.9

DAVIS, Willie 8 14 0 14 0 4 1.8

To stir the pot....EVEN if Shaw is 100% (which I don't think he is from interpreting CT), if Tice has figure out the playbook, he needs get the lions share of the carries with Shaw as the change of pace back.

So you're going to pass on the healthy senior RB that is averaging 130 yds a game (and is one of the few people on this team that actually knows what it's like to get into the endzone) to give the ball to a true freshman that has 117 yards on the season?

I'm really glad you're not the coach.

I agree that Tice has looked good, but Shaw has been a monster out there and is a home run threat every time he touches the ball.

If Shaw is healthy he gets the lion's share of the carries period. If Shaw isn't 100% Tice should see a bigger work load.

Bull-Hornz, it sounds to me like stirring the pot is exactly what you intended to do in your OP.  Crazy not to make Shaw the feature back if he's 100%, and even nuttier to suggest anyone else should be.

That's a key point.  If shows gets daylight, it's a potential TD.  With Tice, he doesn't have that top end speed to run away from the secondary...or so it seems.

Shaw will run as much as he can, or CWT thinks is best.  I suspect Tice will get 8-10 carries.  More is Shaw comes up gimpy.  Sounds silly, but I'd really like Shaw to break 1000 this season, though with 5 games left, he'll need to stay healthy and get the carries.

I think the Tice advocates are forgetting the last game. Tice never touched the ball after his fumble. Did he even go back in the game?

Tice is nice. But Shaw is our guy if he's healthy, period.

Shaw's fumbled a few too, Trip...

True, but the latest ones are the freshest in our minds .... and maybe the coaches'. I love Tice as a runner, he will be great for us in the future, but I just don't think they'll turn around and give him the lions' share tomorrow night after a crtitcal drop like he had. They are obviously sending messages about turnovers ..
