I find it hard to blame the scheme when the players just can't execute well enough to coherently run the scheme. When players are losing so bad play in and play out to their counterparts it's hard to really judge a scheme. Could the scheme be at fault? Yes definitely, but when guys are getting beat so bad every play and others are just giving piss poor effort it's hard to really blame the scheme IMO.

True, that makes sense. Again I think lack of talent is the main/majority reason why our offense is as bad as it is. But with that being said, I find it hard to believe that every single player on our offense is completely incompetent to execute play calls this far into a season. A few plays here and there sure, but 12 straight quarters? Can't buy into that.

Willie T calls the plays not Walt Wells.

The offense is Coach T's baby. Right now its an extremely ugly baby.

This point bears repeating. CWT calls the plays.

This team can't execute simple assignments right now it doesn't matter what's called or who's calling it.

So...you're saying playcalling has no bearing on whether the offense can execute?? I would venture to disagree.

Are you watching the offensive line get destroyed on every pass attempt? The skill players drop a ridiculous amount of passes, the QBS not get the ball out on time

I was watching it. O-line played OK and maybe even good. QB was pretty much awful (surprise). Some drops, some good grabs; some poor runs, some good ones.

What you apparently didn't see was their defensive playcalling trumping ours on most downs. We're predictable in addition to bad. If we would call more "easy" offensive plays for short gains, we might offset our lack of talent more. I'm not calling CWT out--I think he's got the goods--but I think he's getting out-chessed in the larger scheme.

And to the point; regardless, execution and playcalling are intricately connected. You can't separate one from the other.
