I just pointed out what he did right like the thread was about. BEAT NORTE DAME AT THEIR PLACE! Coaches get paid to coach football players. I haven't seen much coaching in 2 years including this year.

That was a perfect opportunity to network and recruit. Now we have no QB. I wonder why...That was during the dead period and no contact was allowed between him and recruits. And the #1 DTQB in the country left with Skip rather than stay with CWT. What skip blew off for lake tahoe was the second session of the USF sling and shoot (7v7) and the USF Big Man Camp. This was july 21-22(? Maybe off by a day or two) which is not in the dead period but the quiet period. During the quiet period coaches are only allowed to meet with recruits when they come to camp. Meaninhg when 500 high school kids are on campus that is the opportunity you have to talk to them and evaluate them. Further, the registration for both were for Skip Holtz football camps. It's a good thing our new coach sticks around campus and is killing it on the recruiting trail. He must have 2-3 QBs in his pocket already, since that's clearly a weak spot. As for QBs, Taggart has 2 that he recruited -Bench and White. He's still after others including jucos so clearly he's not happy with the 4 he's got. Skip's overall problem was he didn't work at recruiting and delegated too much to the assistants. We're usf, not notre Dame. You have to go shake the underbrush to find talent it's not going to just come to us. CWT is working the recruiting trail. Will it be successful? Will have to see when those players get on the field. But Skip left the cupboard bare for CWT and he(Skip) inherited a Nat'l Championship team from Leavitt? I see.
