He has been very clear that he isn't going to talk about winning, he is going to just do it. Also love how strongly he is pushing for us to bury the past. It is SO HARD to forget about the last two seasons. This is like waking up from a bad nigtmare, where you're still in a bad mood from the dream even though you're awake. I'm not sure I'm "awake" yet

Taggert was not at USF last year. Most of his coaches were not at USF last year. So there is no preconceived notion on any particular USF QB. In general, outside of BJ, no one left an indelible mark on our offense. Interceptions, mistakes, misques, no one commanded the offense like BJ had before injury. The offense will be new, new plays, schemes, etc, so it isn't even about how any of them did last year. It is about how they will do this year in a new system under new coaches. Also, Taggert was a QB. He was talented (read about how he dismantled USF back in the day, single handedly). He knows talent and he is a winner who wants to win. I have no doubt that he will put the best QB in and keep him in, but would pull him in a heartbeat if he were making mistakes. Leavitt was a Defensive mind and let offensive coaches have too much rope. Skipper was too far removed and let his coaches do the work but couldn't seem to correct bad situations when they occurred. If we have ever been in a position to id a talented QB, and get the most out of our offense, Id say that time is officially now, Glad we got mentioned and it could be interesting. I think Taggert was the "reset button" we needed to hit. After Temple last year, it was either a reset button or self destruct button. Reset was the better choice. May the best man/player win the starting role. Use two if you have to, to ensure you get it right. Use McNeese as a trial to determine 1/2/3 roles. I hope they save the true freshman for a year, but if he is the guy, make it happen.

Once, maybe twice, is a typo ... other than that agree pretty much with your .

Knew a Taggert once, and thought it looked funny, until after I posted it and realized it was..... TaggART... Still like my premise above, even with the spelling issues.
