According to Greg Auman, they did not report and will not be with the team this fall.

 

Chris Dunkley's legal issues are resolved and he's been reinstated.

My guess is Mayes is an academic casualty as his grades were a concern when he committed. Didn't think Whitty would have any issues though

Eric Mayes and Darius Whity did not make it. I noticed Eric Mayes right away but forgot about Whity. Eric Mayes was already in college shape at 240 lbs.  Would have added depth but I do not think it will hurt.  Also saw Lamar Robbins listed as a DB which is encouraging.

Excited that we kept all of our RBs... I was worried we'd lose Swanson... Hopefully everything works out for Mayes and Whitty... Sucks they didn't make it but I don't think it will affect our team that much... One step closer to the season! GO BULLS!

I get the sense that unlike a lot of rosters these weigh-ins are actually pretty accurate.

 

Aaron Lynch down to 6'6" and 244 lbs. Yowsa.

 

Sean Price up to 6'3" and 249 lbs. Nice size.

 

D'Vario Montgomery is 6'5" and 200 lbs. Yeezus.

 

Willie Davis is 5'9" and 213 lbs? That's a bowling ball.

 

Good size for DeDe Lattimore at 6'1" and 237 lbs.

 

Would've thought Elkino Watson would show up bigger than 6'2" and 286 lbs.

 

Austin Reiter at 6'3" and 273 lbs...skinny for an OL. Not totally unexpected but dang.

 

Eric Lee at 6'3" and 230 lbs...need better than that.

 

On the other hand good size on Ryne Giddins at 6'3" and 253 lbs. Tevin Mims also same height, 246 lbs...I'll take that.

 

Derrick Calloway, holy cow (literally)! He's 6'2" and 328 lbs.

 

And Jeremi Hall is a mountain at 6'5" and 340 lbs!

 

Mike Love is off to a good start at 6'4" and 213 lbs. He will continue gaining weight and is a guy I like.

 

Kenard Swanson is as much of a bowling ball as expected, at 6'0" and 245 lbs.

 

Mitchell Wright at 6'3" and 203 lbs...it's a start, but I'd have liked to see about 5 or 10 more pounds.

 

Deadrin Senat has to lose some at 6'1" and 318 lbs.

 

Sta'Fon McCray at 5'11" and 218 lbs is perfect. Darius Tice at 5'10" and 198 lbs a little less so. But I think I still like Tice better.

 

Last comment...Zach Benjamin at 6'4" and 194 lbs, that's a really good start for a freshman.

"We’ve updated heights and weights for newcomers. Holdovers heights and weights have not changed. We’ll likely do that prior to camp. Also, the newcomers have not been assigned numbers yet so we’ll make that public when it occurs."
