Ginzalez just hit Futgers batter, and the announcers said he didn't move.

I thought you had to make a move to avoid the ball, or you didn't get your base?

A never enforced rule. I don't think I've ever seen it called in 50 years of watching baseball.

as an Astros fan & watching Craig Biggio play for a while (MLB all-time leader in HBP had been called for it on a couple occasions)

Thanks. Didn't think I was going crazy. At least not on THAT topic, LOL.

Yeah, knew it was a rule. Just one that almost never gets called.I was just being hyperbolic. We have 2-3 examples in last 25 years, kind of demonstrates how seldom it is enforced. That was my only point. I'm still sure i have't seen the cal after watching c few thousnd games. I wasn't calling you "crazy", at least not on that topic. :roflmao:

TAMPA – USF dropped its regular season finale against Rutgers 10-6 on Saturday at USF Baseball Stadium.

“We struggled all day, but we made it through,” said head coach Lelo Prado.

The Bulls rallied in the eighth inning scoring three runs on five hits.

Anthony Diaz led the inning off with a single, Kyle Copack singled up the middle and Nik Alfonso was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Kyle Teaf hit a RBI-single and Alex Mendez hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score Copack.  James Ramsay singled to second base and Jimmy Falla hit a RBI-single that plated Alfonso.

Senior Jimmy Falla went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Nathaniel Roe earned the win for the Scarlet Knights.  Roe (2-2) pitched 2 2/3 innings allowing three runs on three hits.

Seven pitchers got in on the action for the Bulls and gave up a combined 10 runs on 17 hits.  Starting pitcher Joey Lovecchio shouldered the loss allowing three runs on five hits in two innings of work. Lovecchio (5-5) struck out two batters.

USF (35-20, 17-7) will face Rutgers in the Big East Tournament 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bright House Field in Clearwater, FL.

“We have two days of practice to get ready for the tournament,” Prado said.  â€œWe have to play a lot better.”

Prado's job should be on the line if he doesn't win the tournament.

I saw one of those Rutgers bastards running through USF campus on Sunday when I was there with my family.  I should have tripped him.

Tonights game isn't streaming on ESPN3, supposed to have started 25 minutes ago. Anyone know what is going on?

70 minute rain delay in the Pitt SJU game has set all games back today. Louisville and UCONN are currently tied in the 9th. So what was supposed to be a primetime starting time for USF is now almost going to be a West Coast starting time.
