Gotta give credit to Coach Taggart for recognizing our team's weakness and trying to get out there and find us a QB.  I just hope one these guys pan out.

Does anyone find it interesting that QB James Mauro issued a statement saying that he is leaving Western Kentucky and that he is "blessed with interest and offers from numerous D-1, Ivy League, top national Juco's and great lower division programs" that he is considering? He specifically thanked Coach Taggart and his former coaches "for their support" in his statement.

He already knows taggarts system and if Taggart liked him there, why not here?

Well, hard to know if the short list is accurate, but the short list supplied by Joe Schad did not include Western Kentucky.

The biggest rival in this race will probably be UAB. If Garrick McGee is ready to make Brandon Mitchell his starter, it would be tough for USF to compete. Birmingham is closer to Mitchell's home, he knows McGee's offense, and he's close with McGee. When Mitchell's high school coach (who is also Mitchell's cousin) was asked for comment, he talked about UAB and McGee.
