Louisville and Notre Dame split in softball today.

As of right now, it is a 3-way tie between USF, Notre Dame and Louisville.

Anyone able to get to South Bend tonight and flood their softball field and dig up the pitching rubber so that they cannot play?

If they do play tomorrow, USF will finish as the 2 seed. Really wonder what could have happened if that missed game had been played or if we had won that game against Syracuse last weekend.

I don't suppose there's any way to make up the missed game when they all come down to Tampa for the tourney...

Does being a 2 seed really matter? Last I checked they can still win the BE Tourney as a 2 seed.

True dat.

But it makes the path to the crown easier.

It's also nice to be the regular season champ...

If things play out according to seeds the #1 will be playing #2. The only thing wont have is last ups in the final. We will still have the "home crowd" advantage. We should anyway.

THAT is never a given with USF sports, LOL.

I DID actually consider going to the series if we would've beaten Syracuse and not had to depend on rain to win the regular season title. Would have worn the full costume and sat in a visible location for the ESPNU audience on Saturday -- to be a conspicuous reminder to the announcers as well. Also would have been able to catch our baseball team while there. Harder to justify the 6-hr trip though, if I had to root for bad weather (then DRIVE through it as well).

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
