Might be for the best. Might make the team hungrier.

Go Bulls!

Then again...

We are really terrible...we just had a good win streak against abysmal teams. The Big East (except for the 'ville) blows in baseball. Sorry to sound negative but that is the truth.

They did start off pretty poorly. However, they don't suck AT ALL. They're 12-4 since March 29th. In that time they have:

Taken 2 out of 3 from Ole Miss (18 in RPI)

Beat UCF

Took 1 out of 3 at Miss St (10 in RPI and one of the hardest places to play)

Beat Florida State in Tally (7th in RPI)

Swept South Carolina (16th in RPI)

Beat FGCU (55th in RPI)

Took 2 out of 3 at Missouri

Overall, theyre 12-12 against the top 50, so 24 of their 42 games have been against top 50 teams. They're 5-5 against teams 51-100. So, 34 out of their 42 games are vs the top 100. They haven't played a single game against a team with an RPI worse than 200! Although that will change when they host FAMU after a big series AT #2 LSU and just before playing host to #29 FAU and #33 Auburn.

Their starting line up is almost entirely Freshman and Sophomores, and they lost their best pitcher for the season (Whitson).

USF is 3-10 against the top 100. Only 13 of our 41 games have been against the top 100. In fact, USF has played almost as many games against teams with a ranking above 200 than in the top 100 (12 and USF is 11-1 in those matchups). If USF had UFs schedule they MAY have 10 wins at this point. Although, who knows since they split a midweek series with the worst baseball team in ACC history(Boston College, currently 6-33 and 0-20 in the ACC).

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
