One of my college professors said..the A Student and the CD student will ultimately do the best...

 

Ok why the CD student...His explanation "He is smart enough to know exactly how much work it takes to graduate"...At the HS level is it any different...Is there a way when these kids's light bulb goes off to help them???...

 

I started early with my kids...They knew from early on that I expected them to go to college...mentored cajoled,,,yelled...it worked...All three with degrees from USF..Electical engineer, One MBA business...One International studies/commerce... 

 

For any fans out there  The Blind Side miovie  is Great example...how socio economics are factors in life's sucesses...Lert find ways to help these kids....not punish them....

PS my son Graduated with honors.USF 3.9 something..

 

He Could not read--Dyslecsic...discovered in the 3rd grade...A  fabulous memory got him thru...I could read him a 1 st grade lesson and could almost repeat it word for word...It was discovered when He changed schools and was tested.

 

Lets get rid of some of the cookie cutter requirements.

Isn't it time for the Acamemic Comitee to also take an Enlightened view let these kids on...I'm not saying close your eyes..But hopefully there is enough wisdom and infromation to make enlightened

decissions..

 

Now I am not talking about 3 of the Alabama Players suspended...so don't do there....

What I am trying to achieve is for the academic review members to take a in depth look at the whole person/history and what experiences a recruit has had to this point in life...

 

To be able to mitigate this information and to make an elightened decession....

My point ...HS grades do not neccesarily guaratee future sucsess.not their place in History...

 

My goal has always been to help the less fortunate...

 

I have hired many employees...Pick the ones to fill the companies needs....Use a cookie cutter and mediocracy will follow I guarantee it..

It's all this **** standardized testing! I scored higher than my valedictorian on several exams throughout HS but I am nowhere near her in terms of intelligence. She's a genius. Me, I just prepare well for tests, which is what has counted so far. Not all students are the same. The education system is flawed. But we already knew that.

If USF is evergoing to be a National Champion it will never occur if we travel on the same roads/paths as everone else...USF has to have imagination..find the hidden tallent.etc...

think in the same box and ask your self  "HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT"...it wont work inside the box....its a dead end road...logical conclusion

 

We can be different with an Enlighted Academic Commitee...

 

With the right mentors these kid can , be sucessfull and will be able to graduate......
