Wish we could've made a big splash on a recruit but we have a solid class that is addressing serious needs. I expect a very nice class next year, Top 35 or so. According to ESPN, we're already #40. How much better is 35? ESPN has us outside Top 40. Neither 24/7, scout or rivals have us in the Top 40 either. I'd like to see us Top 35 in 3 out of 4 sites. That to me would be impressive. We're on the cusp, so I'd say that's a stone cold lock for next year. I find it hard to believe that CWT will go backwards given 12 months to recruit compared to 2 months. You do realize that rankings, like star ratings are total crap don't you? They bear no semblance to reality, they are strictly motivated by financial gain. I mean what more obvious example could you want that when Deadrin Senat was downgrade from 4* to 3 * within minutes of announcing his USF commit. We really need a rating system that doesn't rely on paid subscriptions. Objective journalism is sorely needed in the recruiting world. Not criticizing because I fall back on this deeply flawed system, just continuing to note it's ridiculous nature.

Did anybody ever say how many schollies we actually have to give? I know we can sign up to 25 IF we have the openings out of the 85 ...

Wished we had a couple other blue chippers. Maybe next year.

Plenty of room for late add or transfers. Glad he didn't fill just to fill. Rankings be damned. A great example of how off these ratings can be: Mayes is a 2 star with Scout, 3 with Rivals and 4/ESPN 300 on ESPN. Such disparity. Hope they all qualify...and wish Fennell had the grades to come to USF. Hated losing another OL. Best of luck to the Holtz recruits who went elsewhere. If we hand landed another QB i'd have gone higher. Curious that he never seemed sold on Woulard and never seemed to make a late sale for him. You can get a transfer any time of the year so the 25 number wouldn't come into play there, only the 85 limit ........ I think.

It's about expectations. UM has a very good class...but they expected to clean up, and lost a lot of talent that 10-15 years ago, would NEVER have left "Tha U" [and geesh, is THAT arrogant, especially since most UM fans never been to any U.
