Both majors sports are coached by African Americans

This is an historic day with the hiring of Willie Taggart as USF's football head coach. If I'm not mistaken, the University of South Florida is the only school of the 6 major conferences that has black head coaches in the 2 major sports of football and basketball. There are only 4 black football coaches in the 6 power conferences period. With 3 being in the SEC of all places.

Some of you might not care, but a big congratulations goes out to the USF administration for making this happen. Believe me, this will not get lost nationally by the media and certainly the Black Coaches Association will be making note of this historic event.

I can understand you not caring, but make no mistake this is a huge deal for the people who suppose to care.

racism will never fade when **** like this is constantly brought up. best man for the job, gets the job no matter the skin color.

It can play a role but how you relate to the players and recruits is of more concern. Think about Stan Heath versus Robert McCullum. Same skin color. One of those coaches seems to draw the recruits......the other one drove them away.

All I care about is hiring the right man for the Bulls, and I am of the opinion that they did. Anything else is superfluous.
