Question out to all the realignment scenario experts: How would FSU going to BIG 12 impact our changes in getting out of Big East? Do we have a chance of getting into an FSU-less ACC, or could we also get into a BIG 12 scenario?

Would FSU go with Clemson? If not Clemson, then which school?

I realize that people get sensitive about new threads, but I wanted to focus on FSU-related dominos since I keep hearing that rumor.

I would prefer USF get into the BigXII with FSU. I've heard rumors of FSU/UM to BigXii so why not USF instead of UM?

Texas, OKlahoma, WVU, Oklahoma State, TCU, FSU, etc @ Ray Jay every other year would be awesome.

But I would take anything that gets us out of the BEast

i'd rather us go to ACC, what makes you think we could compete in the BIG12?

Because Miami is a national brand that has won championships. They have positive perception and everyone knows who they are, unlike us. I would prefer the ACC even though it's not a real power conference. I think we'd at least be able to compete and not be a bottom feeder like we would in the Big 12. Traveling would also be much easier.

We can't even compete in the Big East

Agree. May want to pass on UM with significant NCAA sanctions looming.

Yes, right now we can't. I think the point is it would be much harder to compete in the Big 12, there's no denying that.

I would rather be in a better football conference and be in the bottom of the conference perennially for the next 3-5 years. The conference alone over time will compel better talent over the years, until we are able to compete.

The general sentiment is that USF is likely to eventually end up in the Big12 or ACC, whichever one FSU does not settle in. That could take one month, or twelve years.

What makes you think we can compete in the ACC?

Look who will be in the ACC if we get there...most of the Big East schools we are currently with(Which we have sucked against lately), UM(Which we have sucked against), and the leftover ACC(I don't know wins/loses but we might have done well vs the NC teams)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
