The only thing I can think of was he was leaving the call up to Flyod. It would let Floyd feel like he was taking control on the game. Too bad Floyd did not make the call either.

Yeah he said he wanted to go up tempo and "catch them off guard". Personally, I think it was idiotic not to take a timeout. We barely have the capability to punch in a TD coming out of a timeout. What makes Skip think we can "catch them off guard"?

Why the hell would you try to go uptempo with a freshman QB playing in his first game, against Miami in his first 2 minute goal line situation?

You don't think the game is moving fast enough for him at that point?

How about understanding the situation you are in just once. Once, please.

Geez, call time out (you only had time on the clock for 4 plays at most and you still had 3 timeouts) and make sure the kid isn't rushing.

He did realize it was Floyd out there and not BJ this time. I sure hope so.

That whole "uptempo" thing = quick-on-the-feet excuse in front of a camera. Too bad it didn't stop him from looking like a damned fool.

Like I said before: INEXCUSABLE! There is no possible way any high school or pee wee coach would have messed that up.

Say what you will about Holtz, but he is definitely a cowshitter. I didn't use the word "bull" because he is most certainly not one to me anymore.
