based on lack of recruiting last couple of years

lack of development of players

failure to land a top qb recruit

look at our competition year in and year out

rutgers;lousiville and cinncinati out recruit and out coach usf year after year

they get better florida players than usf

We have a fine QB and have a great QB recruit committed right now.

But I agree on the other points.

I'm not surprised that we lost... I am surprised that we have failed at getting any good QB recruits and have been out recruited by Rutgers, Cuse, and even UConn in our own State... now that is pathetic

The things that surprised me last night:

1) We seemed content for the FG at the end of the half instead of throwing a knockout punch with a TD. Skip's time management there was terrible

2) Using Murray to run read option plays. He's not the RB that is capable of doing that. He's more suited to be starting with a head of steam.

3) No blitz on Syracuse's 2 and 14 play at the end of the game. We forced bad throws by Nassib when we did blitz, so why not do it at that time?

4) Seemingly content to kick the FG to go up 5 points instead of throwing on 3rd down. A 1st down wins the game.

I got a call saying we were up 23-3 going into half and I at first said wow maybe they are going to change. Then I said well we will probably still lose. We did. Its become comical how predictable it is to comeback on usf. Sadly many of you think it is recruiting. We have as talented as anyone we play except fsu. Its the truth. The difference is the O-line and D-line. The next difference is coaching. I gotta hand it to our offense as they have done enough to win and are not the problem. The glaring issue is still coaching. The fact that they did not know what to do with lamar is comical. He is our best player and would be alot of teams. I just dont know what to say anymore. We are a laughing stock of a team and it doesnt get any worse than this. Did you see what PITT did to temple? Thats what your suppose to do.

excellent comments.

what happened to Shaw? much better read option RB. averaged 8.8 ypc and got 4 carries. Murray better plodder. needs a blocking back. up the gut.

it's baffling that we always drop back into soft zone and rush 4 never getting any pressure on QB in obvious passing situations.

he always goes conservative. we get inside of 50 and he settles for FGs when a TD ices game. even a first down ices that game last night and he still didn't go for it.
