This has more to do with the other conferences underachieving than anything the Big East has done. The Big East has 0 marquee victories. Here are the OOC opponents the Big East has beaten: North Carolina Virginia Tech x 2 Nevada Miami (OH) Maryland Buffalo Kentucky Florida International Southern Miss Tulane Arkansas Games that shouldn't even count: Missouri State Delaware State UMass Gardner Webb Howard Chattanooga Stoney Brook Villanova

Agree there are no marquee wins, but I think the point is not that we are a top 2 or 3 conference, but that we are nowhere near as bad as the media and other teams make us out to be. We are holding our own.

We are holding our own. We're holding our own against who? I'd feel safe in saying that half the ACC or Big Ten would be undefeated had they played the Louisville, Cincy, and Rutgers Schedules. I agree we're not as bad nationally as we are represented, but I'm not going to start pounding my chest when our best teams have yet to play any teams of note. Rutgers and Louisville have narrowly beaten a few very bad football teams. Cincy needed a miracle to beat Va Tech.

Include USF and take out North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland and Arkansas and you have possibly the new, new big east come 2017 We would still be 5-7 in conference play.
