"We had an inside play called initially," he (HOLTZ) said. "We had been having some success up the middle. It wasn't half a yard. It was a yard and a half, a little bit longer. We felt as much as we had gone inside, Coach Fitch mentioned we could get on the perimeter with the Big T, which I thought really was a good idea. As much as we had run quarterback sneaks and fullback bellies and things like that up inside, we didn't execute. We ran right by one defender. Again, I don't think it's as much the play call as the job we did executing the play. They did have the middle of it loaded." http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/content/usf-coaches-explain-wide-run-play-fg

You run FORWARD on 3rd and 1 in opposing territory with 1:30 left needing only a FG to win, 1000000 out of 1000000 times. Even my fiancee who watches football but isnt an armchair coach like we are here knew that. Holy **** sometimes. That would have been fine on the 1st &10 on the next play, but get the first down man!! Pound it in!!

"Oh yeah lets give Bonani a 40+ yard kick on angle for no reason!!!"

These coaches, every one on this staff, suck big time at situational play calling. At some point, can't these coaches just say "ok guys, we need 1 yard you need to want it more"
