Mut's made some nice catches, but he'll redshirt. Actually had his right arm in a sling the other day. Nearly all the receivers are back in 2013, so might be another year before he can make a significant impact.

Did he grayshirt last year to count against this years class?

I realize that, but gousfbulls.com lists him as a freshman, not a RS freshman, and GA is saying he'll redshirt this year. If he "grayshirted" coming into 2011, it makes sense.

Grayshirts don't count towards eligibility... So he has 5 years left. 4 after his redshirt this year

Maybe I'm saying this wrong. The point is that just because a freshman isn't making an immediate impact, doesn't mean something is wrong with him. It means the program is healthy.

Of course some freshmen will have an impact, but that should be the exception rather than the rule.

I understand completely. I think that some on here just want to argue. Of course no matter how great a program is there will be a Freshman rolls through that is just THAT guy.
