Embassy SUites on Westshore is usually a good deal. Within 2 miles to staidum, free breakfast and happy hour near international plaza, pool, etc. Thats where I put out of town guests that come for games

I tend to stay at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Tampa. I am usually able to get a very good rate, in advance, and the hotel is clean, close proximity to great restaurants (Berns Steakhouse & Hatricks come to mind) and RJS.

Before I moved back to Tampa I used Priceline and selected Downtown or Westshore areas. Always got a nice hotel, Hyatt, downtown Embassy Suites, ect for around $60-70.

any of the hotels in downtown like the Hyatt (this is usually the visiting team Hotel when Big East teams come to town so it might the hotel for FSU), Marriott (this is probably the nicest Marriott in the Country, no joke), Sheraton is nice but rather old and unimpressive from the outside.

If you are more concerned with things to do other than the game, stay downtown or on the beach in Pinellas. but if you want to be near the game stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Dale Mabry although it is probably already booked up for this game

one thing about Tampa is we have no shortage of decent hotels and nice prices. nothing like orlando with disney and such.

Go to Tripadvisor.com. Once you find a place with decent reviews nearby, you can search for the best price online

Here is the page for the Grand Hyatt someone mentioned. Put your date in and hit Show Prices and all the websites will pop up with their price.

The reinnasance at international mall will put you in walking distance of the stadium but at a great hotel.
