Why does USF recruit so much better than UCF in Orlando?

Why can't UCF keep Cent. FL recruits at home? kind of puts a little different spin on all this crud we have had to listen to lately.

Sentinel top 30 Central Florida recruits, USF-3, UF-2 , FSU-2, Vandy-2, others-1, UCF-0.

Same reason they're plucked several Tampa Bay area players to play over there? I recall Brynn Harvey being a pretty big "get" for them a few years back. Some kids just like the change of scenery.

Orlando pipeline continues for USF with WR Badet

USF football's recruiting efforts in Orlando continue to bear fruit, as the Bulls picked up a commitment Thursday from Jeff Badet, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound receiver from Orlando's Freedom High School.

Badet chose the Bulls over Louisville and Boston College, among others, and he's the third commitment for USF out of the Orlando area, joining Winter Park QB Asiantii Woulard and DeLand RB JoJo Kemp. All three are ranked in the Orlando Sentinel's top 60 for Central Florida, with Woulard at 12, Kemp at 15 and Badet at 27.

Badet is rated as a three-star recruit by Scout.com and a two-star by Rivals.com; 247sports.com hasn't yet rated him. He's the

14th commitment in USF's incoming class, which is now ranking in the top 50 nationally -- No. 36 by 247sports and No. 45 by Scout.com.
