I may be alone in this idea, but I just don't think that wvu is worthy of a 11 ranking.

Are we worthy of getting votes?

Just an observation, but 8 of the 12 teams that will be playing football in the Big East next season are receiving votes in this year's preseason Top 25.

I only counted 7?

Why not?

They beat four (4) teams in FBS with winning records.

Based on the conference we are in, yes. Getting votes is not even remotely in the same discussion as being 11. So, not really apples to apples.

Basing on the conference shouldn't have any bearing on that. We were 5-7 last season. A team like Virginia shouldn't be behind us.

The poll is meaningless anyways.

?? he was talking about WVU being ranked #11.. they had 10 wins in the Big East last year... and didn't really make any shining upgrades... and finished @ #18... I agree that an 11th Ranking is unjustified.

Ghost.

Why do you think that they deserve 11?

'Flip.

Why do you think that we don't deserve votes?

I dont think any of those teams deserve anything. They havent played a down of football yet.

But as long as they are being ranked, they are a conference champion who had a strong showing in their BCS bowl and didnt really lose too much. I dont know if they deserve 11 necessarily, but they should definitely be ranked in the top25. I dont have a problem with their ranking however. If they start to lose, they will drop off.

5 of the top 10 are from the SEC ... College football is just getting more and more ****** up. Tempted as hell to say screw it and concentrate more on basketball and the other sports.

yeah I agree. Ill probably get there myself eventually. I prefer CBB anyway. Now that USF is starting to seriously improve, I am going to be even more into it.

CFB is driven completely by TV now. Conferences, rankings, recruiting, everything.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
