What are the thoughts? Seems to me not as solid as I would like to take pressure off of BJ, but I like Murray and I am way out here in the desert and miss a lot. What should we expect from that position?

i'm with you... I think we need to see big things from Lamar and SHaw this year to have success on the ground.

Murray is reliable but not really a guy who will make a ton of big plays.

I'm hoping that another JUCO Player named "Pierre" has as much success here as that other guy with the same last name.

I think Lamar is going to bust out of the gate. If he stays healthy i think he is capable of being a game breaking back. We have a solid OL coming back and I think the resculpted power version of LL is going to be amazing. I know he is excited about coming back to RB, his natural position. with the extra body strength he has gained offseason, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

idk at 5'11" 200 lbs if he picks up the system I don't see why he can't contribute. He also runs a 4.4 40 but I have reservations on that. Look at his sophomore highlights

We might redshirt him, if he doesn't pick it up quickly.

Frankly, at the time, I was surprised we didn't take Tiger Powell instead of him. Apparently, Holltz felt Pierre was a better fit.

From the excitement that he showed me, I expect him to blow up when he hits the field against Chattanooga. Hopefully he can keep it going for the whole season. Since I've been watching the guy for 6 years now, I'd love to see him be the star that we have all seen glimpses of.

It's going to be a tag team of Lamar and Murray.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
